Hi guys,

I have experience with adwords for legit businesses in the offline world for the last few years.

I made a decision that I want to now make a living online with affiliate promotions.

I have searched and read about cloaking being sending humans to one landing page and bots to another so as not to violate TOS.

My question is this:

When it comes to promoting an affiliate product...let's say an Ebook as an example.

I setup my landing page for a review of the ebook and then my campaign in adwords.

When a user clicks on my add they go to the real landing page..but in adwords it is a fake landing page?

Is this right or am I being dumber than dumb here.

As I said I am a noob to cloaking so trying to learn.

Thanks!

First part is correct. A user(parameter of which you put in your cloaker) sees the ads. If the specific user is not from the country you specified, he will be displayed fake landing page. Also, there are certain ips that are blocked in cloaker that possibly belongs to google bots or the ad review team.

Ah ok.

So Ad = Legit Landing Page but really Ad = Offer page ya?

How do marketers best use cloaking..as in do they just find an ebook and direct link?

Not looking for any secrets just in general.

Thanks btw :)

It's best used to promote products from affiliate websites like 'peerfly' and others for their Facebook/Adwords campaign.

I am a published on maxbounty but notice they say you have to be within facebook/adwords TOS for conversions to be legit?

Try other networks, as the Maxbounty guidelines are more important, and will likely result in ban and you losing all your commissions.

I had code for this.. but lost now.. User will land to affiliate page and bot to any web page...

If it is a long term site and you dont want to risk being de-indexed you need to be careful.
Cloaking is against just about all TOS from anyone.

They gotta say that stuff so they themselves don't get blacklisted by FB, Twitter and so on. Several CPA networks get blacklisted from FB and whenever their URL is posted the posts are automatically limited or straight out censored and they don't want that.

In case of a business promotion is very important. So first of all you should concentrate on promotion....

yes you are right, cloaking will send moderators to somewhere else

but visitors will be sent to page which makes you money.

so go ahead and start cloaking!
