Potential Solutions to the Daily "Black Magic" Spam

We've all seen it. The "black magic", "divorce advice", "university" etc spam, and here are some potential solutions to the problem.

For brand new BHW members it may be confusing when they see the homepage littered with these spam posts, and I feel like this issue needs to be addressed.

From what I see the spam is at its worst at around 10 PM - 5 AM PST. Here are some some solutions that have been brought up:

1. Get another mod in this timezone. One of the reasons why the spam isn't as bad during the day is because there are usually mods that are online who can deal with the spam. Having a mod in that timezone will allow spam to be manually deleted

2. Banning Non-English words in thread titles. This is an english based forum and most of the times the spam has a foreign language in the title (i dont know why). Perhaps banning these characters can be a solution to the spam

3. Setting a thread post limit for newbies. Most of the times the spammers are brand new to BHW with 0 posts. Limiting the amount of threads they can create in a certain time will limit the spam.

I think a good one is manual check of the first post of every member before getting published

IMHO number 3 is the best option.

I think #3 will just lead them to make more accounts. What about banning "Black Magic" in the title, it seems to be in 90% of these posts.

Apart from that I really like the manual review of the first post.
