Posts not appearing in Top 9 Hashtags?

For some reason, I just manually checked and my posts are not appearing on the hashtags that I'm using even though the engagement is a lot better than the posts found on Top 9.

They were appearing before.

Has there been a change to when the Top 9 posts are rotated for new ones?

i think nobody knows right now ..... they just make no sense the most time ..... shitty posts with little like appears and posts with many links have no chance ???

Its due to all the new updates of IG, I would always hit top post now I don't, the top is cluttered by foreign low liked posts.

Ahh okay so it's not just me then?

I mean when I make the post, I still see it under the Top 9 .. it just doesn't hit it anymore or as often as before and lots of lower engagment posts from other accounts do .. weird

top posts are custom for every user since quite some time now, it's most likely based on hashtags of pictures you liked. That means it's actually possible that your post is trending for *some*, but your own post isn't trending for you. I did and are experiencing top posts issues too recently. To blame are changes in the algorithm.

Wow okay .. was not aware of this change. Looks like it's getting much more personalized now.

It's because of the update on IG's algorithm. They changed it and it sucks. The things I usually do don't work anymore. Adapt a new strategies instead. I shifted to influencer marketing and it's been doing well.

Yeah they are copying Twitter, They are also bringing twitters Accessibility technology to IG next month so Blind people use it better. talking image descriptions etc.

With regular IG updates, making it to the Top posts isn't easy specially for the hashtags with thousands and thousands of posts.

Most important part is to make your account look legit in the eyes of Instagram and ensure proper engagement rates as per the number of followers you have. A lot of other factors like the total number of hashtags used and the type of content you've posted would decide if you can make it to the top posts or not.

I cant get the top 9 of a 225 post hashtag... I use to get on top 9 of 500 000 post hashtags. Any one else experienced this??
