posts count rapid decrease

My posts have fallen from over 650 to what it is now in a matter of hours... this can't be a result of the removal of sections that took place days ago... can it?

it's about 200 vanished posts and an entire rank down so far.

edit: they just went up about 80 posts... wtf?

i've experienced something very similar just on a smaller scale...so it would be really good to know what's happening?!
