Hi guys

How often should i add content on a new website to attract google's attention.

just asking frequency, of course i know quality over quantity

publishing an article per day is overdoing?

Depends on many factors like is it a niche site or an authority site. Google likes websites that are updated frequently.
 
I read, that at least once a week, you should add new content. But again it depends, what your site is about.
 
You don't always have to publish new content. It is also important to update already published content that you have on your site. In this way Google see that you are working active with the site and not only adding new material.

For better results you have to add only 2 to 3 quality articles per week is sufficient one for your site.
Then only you have to submit to the Google they will crawl and gives you effective results.
 
Nor I or anyone can give exact answer. Google know loves sites with many content on it. Some months ago I used Mass Page Generator and it worked to get a city in US and it's suburbs.
 
I think the best is one-two article per week. I don't think that everyday content will really work.
 
Depending on how well you have setup your site's basic structure and infrastructure, thus, if everything is in order, you may in fact submit content that shouldn't be altogether similar many times daily.
If you submit similar content, your site will have keyword cannibalization issue. If you submit a diverse none-related content, then there's no issue - just that it would depend how well you 'market' these new articles. How many you can handle per day should be how many new articles that you submit daily.
Simply submitting the articles on your site will not have any effect - it should be accompanied by social signals, some basic backlink building, and indexing through appropriate channels.
 
depends on how competitive your niche is and where on the ladder it sits.

For money site, I go for few times a week with authoritative content - though it should probably be everyday or even more since I'm in a highly competitive niche. Further down the chain once a week, then couple of times a month, once a month.

If you're setup right, G should notice as soon as new content comes up...sorta. Believe this depends on past frequency/pattern. I don't look into this as much anymore since I just push tons of stuff so perhaps someone else can shed more info on this. can try to ping or other indexing methods too if needed.
 
Quality over quantity.

1-2 quality articles once a day or every 1-3 days would be prime.
 
Yes, like others say, once a week is a good pace. Do with that.

Once or twice a week is fine. But this also depends on how frequent your competitors are posting. If you don't want to fall behind, then you should probably post 3x a week, and update old posts probably once a week. As long as you tinker around your articles and do some on-page SEO, this will send positive signals to Google and hopefully attract more visitors.
 
It's all depends on how your website content is good. google crawl websites with good on-page SEO and content articles. if you update your sites with quality content regularly you will get google attention for your sites
 
I think it depends on the niche, regular updates in most but in other - you don't need to do much. Example - this site of mine, last time i posted anything was in like 2015 and it's still outranking others who update weekly. So it's really depends
