just spoke to Shawn on YM. here is the update:

He says, he will not refund anyones money himself and that we would all have to wait till paypal decides the disputes.

He did't seem that bothered about it all tbh and he told me so. I told him if he refunded the money, i would go post that i indeed got my refund but because he got banned for scamming someone out of PVAs, he said and i quote the exact sentence:

"Shawn Stephens (11/03/2009 18:06:54): fuck that, I'm already banned, does me no good"

So lets hope paypal decides in our favour.

Fuk this guy. hes history. Lets all move on and focus on shit that matters.

Omg... I'm lucky I guess. I was looking for a CL poster a while ago and got in contact with him. I added him on msn... he was friendly and all but once I told him I want to start slow to see his work he ignored me and even blocked me on msn. lol.

Being considered a bad businessman and loosing business is never humorous. Bad press spreads 10x faster than good news so you should try harder to make it seem like it was a misunderstanding and just move on with it. Good customer service is paramount to running a good business. - Just saying
 
What's really a shame here is many in this thread couldn't really afford to lose money 'cause they are beginners and this was a really big for them. I was starting to use this guy, but the thread came out before I had a chance to contact. Thank Ali.

add me to the list of people who got scammed i guess. My first experience with someone on here and not good. Paid on 2/24, put me off till last friday, said mid week campaign would start, week almost over, i check this thread and realize it's really over.

Oh well, how can i get my 225.00 back from paypal or him or my bank? What is my first step or best chance to get the money back? Bank probably right?
 
I feel for all of the people who were scammed, but why would you send somebody you don't know that kind of money? I don't really get it.

Please don't get me wrong, but honestly what were all of you thinking? Did you check your brains at the door? You must have.

BTW, somebody may contact some of you about them winning the lottery in Nigeria. The only thing they need is to send the money to your bank account. If you provide your bank account details to them, they will send one million dollars, huh one billlliiiiiiioooooonnnnnnnnn dollars tomorrow. Would you fall for this too?

And what do you expect a mod to do? Go to their house and beg them for your money? LOL.
 
i just did my dispute. Shawn said he has a problem with paypal and cant access it so he cant send money back but he will not contest my dispute. Will let you know the outcome.

Man this guy is a little bitch . scammer and peice of shit its unfortunate that people get scammed by someone like him. I think as a group since he disrespected us and the forum we should fuck him up i think as a collective group we could come up with some good ideas

Get a clue, dude. You screwed the pooch. You can't rip off members, and expect anyone to accept you back here. It is a childish game you are playing, and no one is amused.

Go away. Stay away. You lost any friends you had here. You are not welcome here.

Karma really bit this guy...Remember all, if you choose to make purchases online, do it with a credit card (unless you get to pay after service). IF the seller attempts to scam you or not deliver within 30 days, always charge back, dont go through pay pal. They will just delay matters until you lose your dispute. You have 30 days from the time of purchase to act.

With that said, dont abuse this privilege you have as a buyer. There are many honest sellers. Try to resolve matters with them first. If they are irrational about it, dont waste any further time. Call your credit card issuing bank and charge back.

In the special cases that someone fulfullls part of your order, but can not fulfill the rest, and you want to credit that person fairly so that you are not the scammer, then you do have the flexibility to do whats called a partial chargeback. The bank will see you as being honest and in good faith crediting the seller for what they earned.

Hope this post helps. I am seeing too many horror stories. Educate yourself before you buy.
 
Hi, add me to the list as well...I paid him $150 a month ago and so far, he's yet to put up a single post.

Problem is I paid directly through paypal (without using a CC). Is it even worth filing a dispute - I know that Paypal does not arbitrate in these types of internet marketing related services...

Has anyone been able to get their money back?

Yeah. Be careful when dealing with craigslist posters. Most of those .20 cent guys dont post and if they do they dont do it correctly.
Also be careful because chances are he will be back under another name and take a few more people for some cash. Ask for a sample even if they charge you a little extra for just a single day of ad's.
