posted in wrong section last time, lil help with poker affil plz

I am building a site for poker affiliates and I have noticed alot of guys redirecting through html to downloads of the software as well as redirecting through html to the affiliates site, can anyone tell me why or how? As if they are all doing it there must be a big reason for it, I also found this java on a redirect pages

anyone with any experience in poker marketing that could give me a hand would be great.

From memory (its been a few years) it was because it looks like a unique sign up to a unique site and you can also capture their info. I did the same in PHP a few times
