Postcards for Offline Client Generation

Offline marketing can and will work if you do it in the right markets. If you have extra cash setting around you can try different marketing.

Examples.
I have a moving company. We mail post cards to apt which gets a better response than PPC.

I have a custom pool builder and landscaper that we pull the real estate list every month for homes over 500k and send post cards to them. On ave he is landing 2 deals a month. This last project he did was 1.4 million dollar deal off a post card

Now if you are sending out post cards for like a CPA offer I would say your response is going to be lower than one of the service types above.

as far as getting a post card designed. Look in the service section here. several ads for graphic guys here. Then just take the design to the local print show.

I was actually referring to David Preston (who did in fact offer a coaching program when he released this postcard copy), not you Jim. So cool your jets cowboy, I'm sure you're just as original as Preston. :)

OK, OK... This here cowboy is a ridin' off into the sunset...

Get yourself some high quality print card and a decent DTP program and knock them
out yourself. Serif publisher plus pro and do it with your eyes closed.

I'm checking out a few of these postcard sites, anybody know of ones that have CHEAP shipping options? With overnightprints - it's $12 for 25 cards which is great, but it's bumped up to $50 or so with them mailing them to customers on my behalf

Thanks
Jeff

Maybe it's just because I'm a copywriter, but these post cards aren't very good - as far as being direct response. They could be MUCH MUCH better if there was a real call-to-action on any of them. I'm currently selling postcards in a package to offline clients for $2k/ month and they would laugh in my face if I tried to sell them these.

They seem pretty good to me, they state their intent and draw in interest. Mind explaining your thoughts on this, and showing an example? I know pretty much NOTHING about copy-writing - so the more I learn, the better. :)

Thanks

My issue with them, Jeff, is that they have no call to action. There is no "Go to (website) now for my free report 'How Regular Dentist Visits Add 10 Years to Your Life'".

In any good direct response campaign there MUST be an action for the potential customer to take.

Yeah, anyone with good advice on writing sales copy should ad some input here. It's easy enough to design something pretty, but much harder to make something that sells.

Writing good sales copy is one of my weaknesses. I really need to get better at it.

you should check out sendoutcards.com you can send out all your postcards cards or greeting cards and more with 1 click. Pretty cool system. They mail them out to your database in the mail. You can even upload your own handwriting font/

Im putting together a series of direct mail pieces to send out to a targeted list of offline business prospects and I have a question.

What websites do others use to create postcards like this?

I know I can use a few online tools to make a pdf out of a website but Where do I go to create a postcard like the ones listed above?

Thanks all

I think its a crap product. Basically a past card with a screenshot on it!

I can't post links because I'm a noob - pretty darn annoying

Go to DTalpha - Stephen Pierce and search for increase-income-by-doing-this-one-proven-thing

He has an awesome video - he even includes samples of his mailers and whom he uses to get the data and even get the mailings out.

If you're interested in direct mail - this is a MUST watch - Good luck!
