I'm considering an upgrade!!!
Most people on this forum dont even have a computer, so don't expect any legit pics.
I spend all my money on the Jr. Vip status.
(Only ON the RGB light for this photo)
Some awesome looking workspaces here. Mine has been looking like crap so far. I can't find a spare hour to clean the office up, so right now it's a mess of boxes and papers from the move. Very uncharacteristic of ol' Sherbs.
I've been rocking out with my Macbook Air at the kitchen table lately. It's nice, as I can sit straight, have my pup beside me in his little bed, and look out the back window to our beautiful backyard and front windows onto the quiet street. Here's my current view from the table, with a picture I literally just took:
50" Vizio (nothing special) and a Sony sound bar/subwoofer on the table (a gift from a few coworkers before we moved). Giraffe made of leather we got from a resort in Jamaica.
Far back left wall are three framed black and white pictures of Yosemite (from the Tunnel View), Seattle from the Puget Sound, and the Golden Gate Bridge from the water. These were from a vacation we took last summer.
Under that is a cheap ladder shelf with more pictures, as well as some old chairs my wife painted and prepped on her only day off last week. She also made the gray pillows by cutting a regular pillow in half and DIY-ing that shit. She also made the valances above the triple windows from some fabric and foam and curtain rods. I hung them though. Lining those up was a nightmare.
Telescope is not for spying on neighbors. It's a decorative thing. My parents got it for me when I was ten and graduated from Cub Scouts. I wanted to be an astronomer at the time. Don't judge.
On the right wall is two signed and framed bird paintings by Dean Crouser, and a sweet-looking cityscape we got a great deal on like four years back. Really ties the room together.
Couch is an L-shaped sectional with chaise lounge. Brown fake leather, $750 from Big Lots. Got it before my ORM business really started taking off. It's served us well. The wife and I took an old memory foam mattress pad a few months back and completely restuffed the couch. Looks good as new. She's so handy with that kind of stuff.
Blankets and pillows galore. The dog loves it, and sleeps all over them.
Table in the foreground, bottom shelf are some ceramic see no evil/hear no evil/speak no evil owls we got on a trip to Philadelphia, as well as a large framed picture my Mom took on Hatteras Island during a cancer retreat she took us along for, and a small framed picture I took at Daytona Beach in 2011. When I took the picture, I knew that it was where I wanted to propose, and the following year I did so on that very spot (to the right of the Bandshell, right by the beach).
Top of the table on the left is a large lava rock we lugged in from Dyrholaey in Iceland. Definitely one of the top five locations we went to on that trip. That rock is very iron-rich, and probably weighs every bit of 8-9 pounds. Top of the table on the right is a leather-bound copy of Gray's Anatomy (the actual book) and on top of that in the ceramic pitcher is the bouquet my wife carried at our wedding. She had the idea to use fake flowers instead of real ones so we would always have memories of our wedding day.
This house is a history of our adventures. I love it.
