Post-Penguin New link building

Yes it makes sense, they're saying what every BHW member would tell your, diversity is the key to success.

Well, they are pretty much telling to avoid exact/partial match anchor at all.

If thats the case, the new algo is brilliant. Nobody link with exact match anchor text anyway..

Yep,

Nothing new and this information is in the forum for long enough time :)

Cheers

Yep, nothing new, but the "healthy link profile" pie chart is a pretty good visualisation, better than just reading about it. That made checking out the article worth the time, thanks.

I think, the build back link building need to comply with google's algorithm. If you do not follow these rules, then you will be in trouble.

second for this :)
High quality and no spammy backlinks have no problems with penguin.

My new technique for linbuilding is to use a lot of varied anchor text, which is particaly related(not exact match) but when iw ant to TARGET my main keyword i will only get links from pages with pagerank, like paid blog network homepage links.

you still doing it wrong my friend, do any one ever read what google want? build brand link, make 70-80 percent of your link profile to be brand. Not just varying anchor text.

What Google want is for you to not make unnatural links at all. What Google want is for you to try and linkbait with new content and sit waiting for links to magically appear.

Yes I use brand keywords too, but the point is, if you want to "push" a keyword then you use highPR links from blgo networks to target them with and use the spam links for diversification. That way you're still shaping which parts of the site look the most relevant and powerful.

The way people throw around the word diversification and yet using alot of anchor text in their link building. You wouldnt link back to blackhatworld with the anchor text "seo" you would be linking back to it as "blackhatworld" or "blackhatworld.com"

My point is use nearly 80 percent of your link building in that fashion, that how link building should be in the first place.

True That!

Diversifying your anchor text has been guideline advice for a number of years now :S

This article is not about diversifying your anchor text.

It's about NOT using exact match anchor text (or only a REALLY small percentage of your link profile).

It's funny that everyone saying it's old stuff. It is NOT old stuff. Before Panda/Penguin, exact match anchor text was the way to go. Now its the other way around.

"As you move forward with your inbound link building strategy, resist the urge to rack up keyword-rich links (which was pre-Penguin best practice) and instead pick one of the four anchor types above."

Then what about Exact Match Domains?! Theses domain brands are the same keywords that they try to rank for.

Even for exact match domain, there is a diffence between a "Branding" keywords and exact match anchor text.

http://ThisIsYourKeyword.com

Exact match anchor text: This is your keyword
Branded anchor text: ThisIsYourKeyword, ThisIsYourKeyword.com (no spaces & extension)
