Yeah that would have been a good idea back when you were a newbie. Live and let live, man.
Same idea with the thread criticizing the price of SB, saying its too low. Real funny considering 95% of the people thinking it should cost more would have never tried it in the first damn place if it were $250 without a reputation. They got it for $47, now they like it and don't want anyone else to get it for $57 or even $97. WTF, they want to lock others out of the tool after they paid a fraction of what its worth? I'm sure if hundreds of you $47 dollar subscribers sent Sweet $210 for nothing that he might consider raising the price. He has the software locked to his server so nothing prevents him from upping the subscription at any time and locking everyone out of it until they fork over more money. Careful what you wish for.
You guys forgot what it was like to be new to the forum and now that you earned a little clout you want rules for the new guys? Blame stupid people for making stupid threads. I see plenty of non-newbies posting stupid elementary stuff or absolute nonsense. Don't stifle new people from participating. Criticize the idiots making threads that shouldn't be made, newbie or veteran.
I like having a newbie label and hope my title stays that way for years. Hopefully I can donate and still keep my newbie title. Real IM veterans know that you can learn more and receive more help showing your weakness than promoting your strengths. Many newbies are new to BHW, not new to IM nor business.
Live and let live, worry about yourself and let others do the same...too many rules now IMO. You don't like the stupid posts then hit that backspace key and move on or give them hell for being stupid.
I haven't made a single thread yet and might never make a thread. So such a rule wouldn't affect me but I think it's bad policy to add more rules, especially rules targeting new members. JMHO

Think you missed the point.
First, that thread of mine isn't trying to sell anything. Second I wouldn't probably made that thread if I spent some time arround before I would be able to make a thread.
I used precisely the word NEWCOMER and not newbie. I m not trying to deny any access to the newbies. They can still access information and make posts. Hell, I m a newbie to.
When I say junk threads is like those you see from guys with one post trying to promote something or those asking "how can I make 300$ a day".
Do you see anything positive in those threads? I only see guys flaming the OP nothing else.

I don't think this should be implemented not because I don't have the post count you said, but because it would lock out many users and potentially steer valuable members away.
If they were new and had a question, they'd be unable to ask.
If they had something to share it'd be impossible unless they hijacked someones thread
and so on
It would also probably encourage spam and generic posts which is what comes with setting limits. There is no real reason for it because if someone makes crap threads they'd do it regardless of their post count. The negatives outweigh the positives imo

that make sense and make things better. Maybe Poll people and see what
others are thinking...? I'm also ok with the double-standard of 'closing the doors' or
raising say, SB's price. As long as I get 'in' first. J/K.
Honestly, I believe that people attach more value to something the harder it is to obtain.
I'm in sales and marketing and you can actually lose a would-be customer merely by dropping the price.
Most people associate the 'price' they have to pay with the value of that item. Do you think you'd have a
better chance of really learning a new program, system, w/e if you got it for free, or if you paid $5,000 for it?
What would be the harm in making newcomers here 'earn' the right to start a thread?
As I've said before, I'm a big believer in 'freedom within structure'. We just have to
build the right kind of structure.

In other way a limit number of posts would also lock out scamers and people who make non sense threads. Those valuable members would be much more valuable if they had acomplished that limit showing they really want to be here.
Do you have any idea how much newbies PM scamers that come with those get rich schemes in their first thread before it gets removed by an admin?
