Post From Different Country

Hi there,

I have an ebay.co.uk account but am currently staying in Estonia (for quite a while).

I created two listings yesterday using the eBay Turbo Lister. When I did so, it straight away locked me out of my account, and i have spent most of today trying to reinstate my account.

I will probably NOT be returning to the UK for quite a while. Is there any way I can list these items from Estonia? I DID list one item 3 weeks ago and it seemed to be ok.

You need to get yourself a proxie or buy a dedicated ip address that is in the country your account is in. Clean cookies, flash objects etc. Then you should be able to list from that point on.

Use Auctiva. It dosn't share any information with eBay, so eBay won't find out if you are in UK or not.
Ofcourse, if you have to log in to eBay(which I guess you will sometimes), you will need a proxy.

If you are doing everything legally(which I guess you might not, since you are posting on this forums), there should be no problem in getting your account up, and using it in the country you are now.

I guess if you are using private proxies, you should be pretty safe. If they are elite ofcourse

I wouldn't use public proxies though.

Even though you are using private proxies which are elite, a simple whois could indicate you are using proxies. I'm not sure if eBay are doing so though.

from what ive read every account will come under human review sooner or later, and it is fairly easy for a human to spot a proxy.. not that im an expert... just what ive read.. i think if your up to no good tho you can proberbly make a fair bit of wedge before you get busted... just dont rip off my mum or ill be after you :spank:

If you doing all legally, just contact them to regain your account. Use the live chat, and they will forward you to their security department. They'll do some verification and will release your account if all OK..
I'm believe e bay automatically suspend if found any abnormal process or activities from your account as in your case log in from different country. During verification just tell them you're in different country. They'll help to avoid you from been auto suspended again due to this matter.

Hi there.

MANY thanks for all of your help. I ended up doing a live chat with them and managed to reinstate my account, which i was pleased about.

All I then did was to change the country I was registered in and it seemed to work, I can put my items up on eBay, and then just change my address back to the UK one when I go back I think?
