How to keep a check on my post count? I tried finding it out on my profile, but couldn't.

Are you getting confused with messages and posts ? Messages -> = posts

On the right side of members' usernames, you'll see:

Joined: Wednesday
Messages: 9
Likes Received: 2
Gender: Female

The "Messages" are the posts. Your post count is 9.
