possible way to disguise backlinks?

Can you hide your link in a picture in your signature area on a forum? for instance, on playstation forum, people have their gamer cards, can you attach your link to the picture and have it recognized as a back link? Just thought of it, don't know if it's a dumb idea or not.

You could always link emoticons. Just put several in a row and link one of them.

does it count as a back link on big G though? If so, that's pretty could way to disguise it.

If its a ******** link it counts as a backlink and it also passes link juice and all that stuff.... just check it out with firebug or something.

That really depends on whether they strip out <a> tags, and then after that how complicated their method for checking your sig/text is. There can be ways around basic string checkers, but that depends on the forum.
