Possible to retrieve old Instagram account password?

Greetings!

After leaving the scene of IM for a while, I return and am unable to log into my instagram account.

I can still view it via alternate accounts, so I know that the account wasn't terminated, and I've tried every password I've wrote down for any site, and have come up short.

I've looked for cracking software out there, but they're all designed to retrieve the username and password of random accounts, not a specific one. My account doesn't have any form of 2 step verification involved, the username, email, and password. I made the mistake of using a random email when signing up as well.

Please forgive my ignorance, I'm sure the replies will be meme heaven, but please at least point me in the right direction

Try not to bump your own thread after 45 minutes.

In regards to the Instagram account, if it's yours and you have a way to prove that, and even if you don't, reach out to [email protected]. Dan Coffey is the "Community Manager" and one of the few people who will respond to you from Instagram.
