So I have a website for "dentist city" ranked #1 and started contacting local businesses to see if they would like to rent ad space on the site. However, even though I rank #1 I'm still below the Google 7-pack for the keyword.

Is there a way to get the website listed in the Google 7-pack without having a physical address? I believe Google sends an actual mail and/or makes a phone call to verify the listing before including it in the Google Local listings.

Even though I'm getting a few visitors here and there I think I don't get the majority of the clicks since I'm not listed in the Google 7 pack. So any way around it to get listed there and thus increase my chances of selling ad space to local clients since I would have 2 spots on the first page?

Depends. I've seen Google Places listings WITHOUT addresses, but that's because the listing has a 'service area'.

Try setting your service area. Doesn't make too much sense, though, for the average dentist, because most dentists have an office and don't travel to clients homes!

If that doesn't work, you need a P.O. box.

Get an address and use a google voice number. They will not send you anything, you just have to answer a phone call. I have quite a few sites listed with fake info. If you rent it, change the address.

Tip - Fake address closest to city center is best.

So is how much is to get a Google voice number and would I need a new number for each site I want to rank?

You could also use Twilio for cheap local numbers as google voice could be a pain to have a bunch of accounts

there is a couple of ways you can do this.

i personally use a made up address close to the city center and then link it with a google voice number. I just have that number forwarded to a number where i can verify the listing and then you can just delete the number or forward it anywhere you want to.

You can also pick up a mailboxes etc. location or a PO Box but i dunno if the po box works never tried it.

the easiest way to get lsited in the 7 pack is to invest $30.00 on the listing by signning up for ubl(dot)org and they will do the hard work for you and you can sit back and wiat to rank in the 7 pack.

just some tips for ya.

So I checked out the Google voice thing and as long as I use different gmail accounts I can setup a new Google voice number correct? Does it matter if I use the same forwarding cell number for all the accounts or will Google only allow a new forwarding number to be used for each new Google voice number?

If I can use the same forwarding number (i.e. my own cell number) for each new account that I setup then it's not a problem.

Anyone know if this is possible?

So do use a street name that actually exist in the city center, but change the building number to one that is fake? So I should just pick a central street in my city, check the addresses on that street, and then make up one that does not exist by maybe inputting that address in google maps to see it does not show up?

I just thought of a method, not sure if it would work cause iv never done it.
What if you rang up a local business and said you were from google (not sure if it would be legal so you might wont to check that out first) and your automated system was about to give them a call and you would call back after it called to get the code.

Then put their number in your google listing and get the bot to verify it and call back and get the code of the business owner.

You would have to make up some reason for the business owner as to why you were calling.

Once again CHECK IF IT IS LEGAL IF YOUR GOING TO DO IT!!!
