I'm getting some super weird rankings hitting me for 4 different websites all in the same niche targeting the same keywords on separate hosting accounts.

I've been working on building out these websites for the past month, and one of them I built a week ago.

Let me back up a bit and talk about the first one, I built it on june 27th, built a couple wordpress blogs to it, added some content to those wordpress blogs and some social signals. Please note that I buy all my social signals from blackhatlinks.com (I'm not affiliated with them, I'm just stating facts). It indexed pretty quickly on its own and things started rolling for that website #1 and it started ranking on the 5th page for one or two keywords.

This niche is a totally wide open niche, it's literally three people trying to rank for these exact keywords, me and some other random two guys.

One guy is ranked #1 for the main keyword, the other page 2 and he sometimes pops up for page 1 at the bottom.

I started building my PBN from a cool guy here on bhw and everything was going swell. I build out 10 pbn domains in a few weeks time, didn't link out, and let the pages naturally index with 3-4 pages of content on each.

I started linking out to my first site in the middle of july and got things going to page 2 and sometimes bottom of page 1 for all my keywords.

Now fast forward to yesterday all my keywords on all 4 websites took a nose dive all to page 5-7.

Now I built 4 sites in total for this niche, on separate hosting accounts, and they all have private whois information.

How could this keep happening?

I'm at a complete loss of words on how this logically keeps happening.

I know its a thin-content penalty, but why were all 4 of my websites hit at the same time?

One of my competitors is right there with me on the 5th - 7th page for all his keywords as well.

The other guy, he's still ranked #1 for the main keywords. His rankings have been rock solid for months.

Could this guy be mass-reporting my sites/his competitors?

I use seperate WMT accounts for each website and I use my mobile phone's web browser to accessing them + my 4g data. I dont use google analytics anymore, I honestly dont use any type of visitor tracking on them period.

None of this logically makes sense, its driving me up a wall trying to get it figured out.

I think shit through logically and nothing makes sense here in this case besides the guy mass-reporting me.

Could be a dance, could be google recalculating your site and deciding it deserves a lower ranking. Either way give it at least 1 week before you get worried.

I've had sites rank high for over 1 month then boom they drop down a lot. I've also seen this happen for certain keywords. Its not from a penalty or bad links its just google being google.

The algorithm is designed to lie to you, it's in their patents.

I've seen this before on another one of my websites, it is in fact a penalty.

Each of my keywords dropped 50+ rankings in a single day (for all of my sites). It's not a dance, I know what a dance is. I've done seo before trust me.

More information?

He can always check if he is penalized. It might be dancing, if you have thin content probably that's the reason. Either way relax man, you have only been at it a short time. A month a week it's nothing.

Just be a bit more patient. I didn't first page rank a site for over a year once, but I kept at it and got there.

Be a bit more positive!

Add it to GWT then and find out, I would give it more time tho.

I've been positive for months, trust me. I've had 6 sites burnt this year not counting this most recent 4 burnt yesterday.

They were added the day they were setup, they're all on seperate GWT accounts as noted in OP.

Stupid question but do you have Adsense ads on them?

What do you think the problem is?

I don't know, its baffling me. I'm a professional spammer, Its my job to figure out these kinds of problems.

No adsense, one of my sites is purely text, a single button that goes back to the homepage, and a couple images. I hadn't even set that one up entirely, just slapped the content my writer had written for me.

You say you know what a dance is, but won't contemplate the idea it's a dance? Sounds like a dance to me. Like the other guy said it's in G's patents to fool you and drop or raise rankings indiscriminately. Just keep building links give it a little time.

Looks like a normal G dance to me. As you said the site is added to WMT, why not login and see if you have any manual action?

If the sites are added to GWT then you can easily check if its a penalty or not without the drama of this thread! If you did get a penalty, G might have linked your accounts somehow and when they penalise one site they will penalise all the rest too. My advice is DO NOT use GWT for any of your sites in future.

I'll probably steer clear of GWT in the future.

Everything is still random as heck...

Just couple of questions:

1) Can you check if all pages on money site are indexed? and also your PBN's?

2) Have you check on GWT if there is any penalty or manual action?

3) Can you please detail the process you did to build PBN's? and what domain registrar you used?

1. Yeah, everything is still indexed. I haven't had a problem with de-indexation yet. My PBN seems fine as well, though there is a weird occurrence where a post on one of my PBN was ranked for my main keyword. It was on the third page for that keyword. Now its on the same page as all my domains in the same niche.

2. So far still no manual action yet has appeared for 3 of the 4. The 4th one received a manual action of thin content on it the day before yesterday. This 4th website had no PBN backlinks pointing at it.

3. I bought my PBN domains early June 2016 and started building them out/hosting them starting late june and into middle of july. I'm kind of lazy when it comes to that. I use Namecheap.

For me main problem you seem to have is that you have a footprint of buying all domains same month or near dates, either that or maybe is google dance since no site seems to have any issue on GWT but, as people say here give it 5 days or a week after a week rankings should be stable. But, if after a week this keeps going on then reopen this thread since something should be wrong however, I don't think that is negative seo since if it was your site would be dancing all the way down and not in first page.

Hope it helps!

Maybe just maybe google clicked on your niche is worth money.

Thin content can do harm .

You said someone else in your niche also droped in the serp maybe there also thin content.

I think it a goigle dance but never no , time can only tell.

Have you cheek the cpc for the keywords any new results in price?

Have you blocked backlink crawlers ? If not, you need to do that to be under radar of your competitors prying eyes.

Also, domain registrars don't make much of a difference if you have just 10 domains.
