I've always had an interest in the "Flipping" concept and was wondering if you all thought there'd be any money to be made in offering brand new premade AdSense sites on Flippa? For example, let's take a look at the following breakdown of the costs associated with developing a basic 10 page AdSense site (Excluding Contact Us, Privacy Policy etc.):

Domain Name - $2-$4
10 HQ Articles - $0 (I usually write my own as I enjoy writing)
Hosting - $1 (WordPress Hosting deal at GoDaddy)
Flippa Listing - $9 (Plus a 10% final sale fee)

Total - $14

Now I would assume that a well structured, nicely designed site with very high quality content (10 articles) would go for around $125 on the Flippa market place (This is my guess). If the site is SEO optimized and is already indexed in Google and is targeting keywords with a decent CPC, I believe someone would be willing to pay that price if the value is there in the site. In this case the value being the domain and the content.

Especially if you put in a very good sales pitch with the potential of a ranking AdSense site.

Let me know what your thoughts are on this, even if they sold for a $100, the profit margain would be good and the only limit to making money would be how quickly you can produce the sites. There are many people looking for ways to earn online and with AdSense usually being a option/consideration for most, high quality, ready made AdSense sites could potentially sell like hot cakes.

Hell, even at $75 profit per site, I could easily produce and list 10 sites per month and that would be $750 per month or $9,000 per year extra on top of what I already make online.

That $750 per month extra is 2 car payments! :D

There are so many garbage AdSense sites on Flippa and I think bringing high quality sites to the market would be good idea.

Let me know what you think! If I see that you guys believe that there's some potential in this, I'm going to turn this in to a case study/journey and actually test it out to see if this possible method would be successful.

This can work, people sell these "starter" sites on flippa all the time.

Yes that's what I noticed, while of course there's even more money to be made in establishing the AdSense sites with revenue first and then selling them, there has to be some profit to be made with selling ready made sites. As I mentioned in the thread, with a good domain, high quality content and a good design, there's already value in the site even though it's not earning anything yet. You can even go the extra step of setting up Social pages for the site (Which only takes 20 minutes) to add even more value in for the potential buyer.

you could make more than 75$ selling 10 high quality articles here if they're even close to high quality

Well this is what Flippa is built around. Hardly new news.

Its like saying this is an eBay method: Make some crafts for $5 and sell them on eBay for $25.

Well of course it is lol. As long as your goods are quality you will profit. There is no question in this. Same goes on Flippa.

Yes I understand that but I'm not interested in running an "article writing" service.

Yes I understand it's not a "new" method, it was simply an idea that came to mind that's all, never hurts to put ideas out there for discussion.

I tried this back in the day and sold a few sites. The main issue I had was that the seller fees took a fair chunk out of the profit out and were risky because you had to pay some of them upfront, so if the site went for a lot less than it was worth to make it or didn't sell at all then you'd make a loss. I vaguely remember reading something about the fee structure changing so it would be worth taking another look into that. Also another factor that you have to consider is that the type of buyers who purchase these listings aren't going to be very experienced so sometimes customer service and after sales support take up a bit of time.

At the end of the day it all comes down to the sales pitch of your listing. The reason for this is that a website that doesn't generate any profit is effectively worthless - meaning have to sell on the 'potential' of the site to make money (showing keyword research demonstrating the demand for the site etc). I guarantee that over 90% of those types of sites sold on Flippa won't ever end up making any money.

That's why the sales pitch is an important part of making the sale, you have to make the sale based on the potential which you need to demonstrate through sales description. In regards to the fee, the cost for listing a "new" site on Flippa is $9 with a final sale fee of 10% so you sell a $200 site you're only getting $171 ($9 listing fee + $20 sale fee).

Good idea OP.

Just want to tell you this: one of my friends is a Flippa seller, selling starter sites. What he does in general is:
  • Buy expired domains with high PR (3-5 PR) - You can get them from expireddomains.net - filter the search with PR and English domains. - Go for .com, .net and .org. Make sure the domain is pronounceable.
  • Add 10-50 unique articles
  • Add BIN bonus materials like ebooks on "how to get traffic", etc. - 10 or more BIN bonuses
  • Write a detailed sales letter (I'm not sure if I written this well) - basically the pitch.
  • Add as much info as possible to the Flippa listing.
  • He usually lists 3-4 sites a day.
  • Set BIN to $200+ or if the domain and the content of the site is very good, add $500-700 BIN

Last year he made $25k+ with this listing.

He also sells on DP (digitalpoint forums) where he lists 3-4 sites. This 3-4 sites are different from ones on Flippa. Different domain, articles, niche, etc.

I would never buy these type of sites, unless the competition is weak. I bought a gig off of here, and the guy gave me a high competition keyword average page authority 50, average da 80.

So if have a low comp site, more value.

OP your method worked great in 2008, you really need to have traffic/income on your websites for a good payday at flippa, maybe you sell a view starters but i'll bet that the most of the cookiecutter sites will not be sold, like i sad it is not 2008 anymore
