GoDaddy is the worst of the worst of the worst but they are also huge scammers. They spend more time trying to figure out more ways to limit their customers than they do focusing on providing solid hosting services.

Through myself and my clients I am noticing a strange series of events where they are being infected with Malware, my site got flagged for "oversending email" (I send about 5 a day and checked all of my accounts just now) and issues with "overusing shared server resources."

The common denominator is however, in each of these scenarios they are trying to push their Site Lock service on us.

Anyone else experiencing the same? I really hate these guys and the only reason I am still with them is because I prepaid for an entire year, only 4 months left.

all I ever see is godaddy scam godaddy sucks, what the flip happened to them not a good direction thier heading no siree

No lie im on the phone on hold with them right this second. i have been paying for resource package level 3, yet they have only been giving me level 1, no wonder my customers have been saying my site is running slow.

this is only issue i have had with them though, apart from that i would say they are pretty decent.

Crappy hosting is one thing. Sneaky methods to try and trick your customers to make more money is another.

move the hell out
theres a lot of horror stories with godaddy hosting
check the bst section for a better hosting

I am already spreading myself out to Namecheap, Hostwinds (my favorite so far), A Small Orange and Hostgator. I just wanted to see if other people felt like GoDaddy was trying to persuade them into signing up for SiteLock using questionable methods.

I have a few domains with Godaddy and sometimes i feel like the price increases every year.

For how long have they been giving you level one after you piad for level 3?

I should check mine actually, its level one but for some reason im sure i paid for higher level in the past, never bothered about it until now, i have 4 sites now where i only had one when i started using them

The reason i like them is because of the number of discount codes they have out there. I picked up 6 dot com domains for just $0.99 each last week, and everytime you call support they email you a discount code for 30% off your next order.

maybe im the only one who likes them haha

It had been only 1 month, its fixed now and they have given me 3 months extra free of level 3 resource.

I only buy domain from them not hosting.
As much as I've heard, Godaddy sucks in everything except domain.

I don't trust Godaddy, I don't buy anything from them, I don't like their "customer service", I don't like their marketing and that bullshit their owner posts on his blog.

So? I'm a free man. I buy from their competitors. I suggest you do the same.

godaddy for domains for 2 bucks its ok for me
hosting elsewhere

Have bought and used domains, hosting and SSL-certificates without any big problems so far. Definately worth the pricing imo

Godaddy stole my credit card information. You Payment information is not safe with them. I have explained my whole nightmare here. Do not compromise your payment information with those crooks!!

I just read this and the charge was to zappos. Zappos is one of those places where organized hackers who sell/steal CCs will make a small charge to see if you're paying attention. If you don't do anything, you get hit with a huge charge. It also doesn't make sense that someone from GoDaddy would steal your card and then charge to GoDaddy. You should probably be smart about it and get a new CC.
