The other day I contacted a close dentist that we have known for years about getting him seo/marketing help. Basically I told him I do on site/off site seo as well as reputation managament.

He basically said "
Thank you very much for the information. At this time I already have a company doing seo for my site. But I shall keep your information on hand so that it is available if I need your service in the future. Thank you!"

Ok so I did not respond to his ass yet but I went to alexa he has 3 sites linking in to his site, when I search for his practice he comes up like on page 7 in google. My question is I have a hunch he just gave me that answer to be nice or quick response I know damn well he aint got quality seo his site sucks.

I just wanted to see the best way I can respond to him with a keyword report of his site and his ranking to let him know he aint ding nothing. Is there a keyword tool which is low cost or free o I can do a report or something else. Any help needed would be great.

If I was you, I'd move on. Even if he doesn't have anyone working on his site, he clearly doesn't want someone to do it either, else he wouldn't have turned down your offer in such a polite manner.

You print his ranking report and how it to him and tell him that his current SEO company sucks. Also find 5-10 keywords for his site that are easy to rank within a month and give him a test drive for month at discounted and rank those keywords and then again pitch back to him with your original rates.

In this way you will prove him that you can get his site on top and can provide worth to him for every money he spent.

Thanks

ok but how do I print his rankings report what is the best tool to do this?

Maybe he is overbooked already and not really need more clients at this time, then again why pay for his current seo company, if such even exist.

Just use the free version of traffic travis enter the keywords you wish to see were he is ranking. Then make a pdf or csv of the rankings. EASY!!!

By the way should you be doing seo if you haven't got the tools to provide the correct analysis of websites?

Dentist are busy. After a few years...they don't give a rat's arse because their practice carries itself.

Try and find a Dentist who's just starting out.

first give him free IBP report with labeled your name etc
than give him 1 nice looking FB fan page and throw some likes -also post 5-6 good reviews on that page from fake acs. show him everything and get him as client

Do you know how many exact searches there are for dentists in your city? Would getting him on the front page make a difference to his business? Does he need more business? I've never heard of dentists that are short of business and unless there are a ton of searches the ROI for him will be negligible.

Sure it might be a good earner for you, but I doubt it will for him. I wouldn't bother him again.

Here is what I would do. Dentists are like every other business and if they think they are going to get more business they will be interested... but you know what he will really hate...losing business to a competitor who will also steal his customers and rub his nose in it at every chance.

Find his nearest competitor as in location and do a quick report on their site. Run a quick report with IBP. It might as well be in chinese as he will not understand it. That's not the purpose of it, dont waste much time on it though.

Find the easest keyword to rank for and bang out a quick report. With the report put in a word document saying how easy it is to rank for blah blah keyword and specifically mention this dentist who said he is not interested and how easy it will be to outrank him in XXX amount of time. put some figures in there about traffic and how people are looking online for dentists and enough to make clear how much money can be made.

Dont forget to put your name and phone number on the report. Take the report and hand deliver through the door of the dentist who told you to get lost... leave it 24 hours and then contact him asking for it back as it was mistakenly sent to the wrong person..dont ask if he read it or anything, nothing, by now he has read it and wondering what to do and has probably copied it as well. This should not take you more than 20 minutes to do and might get you a customer out of it. If not it will only have taken you a few minutes of your time.

Dentists are like every other business and if they think they are going to get more business they will be interested...

That's just not true, many dentists have no interest in getting more clients whatsoever, and can't even handle more.

The person made it very clear he was not interested, pushing on to try and make a few bucks at that point is just silly, especially when you personally know this person.

Maybe you people suck at getting hints, but this was a very strong: "thanks, but no thanks".

Stop trying. He's not interested. Suck it up and move on.

Pick up this book if you're going to be selling

"you can't teach a kid to ride a bike at a seminar" - David Sandler

If you're bringing in clients you're selling. Learn it.

You can't get frustrated by 1 let down. You'll never close 100% of your sales. Shoot for 2-5% closing ratio and you'll be doing great.

"Each prospect's contact is a sale, either you sell your product or he sells you the reason of his denial !"

ask him, are you getting progress?

tell him, can i have a look in your site?

after that, tell him that his company sucks and you can do better.

plain and simple, ask for 2000$ a month for obviously reasons :)

dont even think in negociate with him, make him want YOUR services and you will get the client.

a part from this, move on and make him suck his money in deep. destists are expensive like sh+t,............

Make a strategy and Plan and tell him how the other SEO company might be ripping him off. You can help him to rank better and faster. Explain him some bits about quality SEO and people who are hardcore spammers. Tell him how quality SEO can affect his website reputation.

Then offer him some cheap discounts to start up with and tell him. Or in my opinion offer some free SEO and prove that you can really move him up in google. Once he sees your quality work and his site moving up, I am sure he will be your client for a long time.

EDIT: Like one of the BHW member mentioned, install a free copy of traffic travis :)
