Position 30 ceiling

This is causing me much headache. I am working on a site where no matter what I throw at it as soon as it gets over position 30 it goes back down again to 30-31-32.

It is not highly competitive but medium-high. Site is fine, 1000 words of handwritten content on the main page and categories, other pages have good text, no duplicates, no penalties. Backlink profile is good, mostly naked url, few web 2.0's with main kw.

I never used any BH service directly on the domain only through other platforms.

I realize its hard to tell without looking at the specifics but I was hoping that being stuck on a certain page would sound familiar to anyone and what they have done to improve the situation.

It seems like there is a waiting period if your site sit around 30. My 6 months old site just overcome this problem and finally show on page 1, it might be caused by the site age factor, so you just have to wait but keep on to build some backlinks everyday.

Whats google webmaster tools saying? any errors?

You can wait for few days it may be Google Dance.
If it is not Google dance check the GWT notifications then you can proceed with that.

What kind of links you've been built other than web2.0 ?

My guess is you need more high-quality links especially when it's med-high comp.

Check robot.txt, on-page, and schema/microformats.

@LatteGrande Articles, blog posts, local ciations various seo packages from here. I guess more quality links is worth a try.

Try inserting some relevant internal links and make sure you're not over optimized (mainly your kw density). These actions have helped me get from page 2 to page 1 dozens of times.
