Position 3 But No Traffic!

One of my Keywords is currently at position 3 for a ''Best'' Keyword with 3K monthly searches. There is a rich snippet for the keyword so basically I am at 4th place. I am not getting any traffic. Is it normal ? I am currently short on cash and I can't afford to buy any more links. What should I do?

And how exactly do you measure your position? Clear your cookies, use different browser, ideally proxy as well and see where you are.

Also, you might be on position 3, but there might be 4 ads on the first place and then some images as a bonus, so in the end, you get maybe 5% of traffic. Which, considering only that one single keyword is like 5 visitors a day.
 
i guess its not in pos 3 or the kw has no searches ....
 
how many users you are getting exactly? 0?
 
3k monthly searches for your exact keyword or broad match? That makes a huge difference. Also, as other suggests, you may not be ranking as high as you'd think. Try in AdPreview on a few of your target markets.
Also try to tweak title and description to see if you can improve CTR.
 
If there is a snipper showing the right answer and if the answer is simple then you can expect to get a pretty low ctr.

Example of the situation - keyword "best search engine". You might not get a high CTR if you rank for this keyword.

I am not in the targeted country but I I have checked using different browsers and Ahref as well. There are No ads. Just the rich snippet and the two sites above. I get around 15 visitors a day for the keyword. Been on 3rd position for about a week now.

Exact keyword. I am getting around 15 visits in a day

It is a ''Best coffee maker'' kind of keyword

15 visitors a day sounds about right for the keywords you are targeting.

Confirmed It is in position 3 and I get around 15 visits a day for the keyword

3k/month search = 100 visitors per day overall
roughly:
1st - 35% = 35 visitors/day
2nd - 25% = 25 visitors/day
3rd - 15% - 15 vistiors/day
 
you have to keep in mind that Google keyword planner is not 100% accurate.The data of the keyword planner is about three months behind.It doesn't tell you what is people are searching right now.Traffic changes constantly that is reality.

Check your keywords against Google Trends or see if there is a Youtube video for your keyword on the first page of Google and check its stats if its publicly available
 
So the web traffic generated by a specific keyword fluctuates every month - there'd be good days and bad days. But sometime even the number 3 spot isn't generating as much traffic as it should. Based on my experience, the 1st spot is definitely the gold mine, and the next best is the 2nd, when it comes to conversion ratio. But anything lower than the 2nd may be a tough catch - unless you put a catchy phrase word on your title or description, like 95% discount, free, etc, and that should increase the click through ratio, even on the first page.
 
Some keywords are very site specific as well.

For example: "iphone wiki"
You might be on spot 2, but searchers are looking for the wikipedia entry and will ignore your website, no matter if you target that keyword.

Brandnames, scientific terms or places are very good examples for that kind of search intent as well.

For a lot of commerical keywords, searchers are expecting an amazon link, and will be searching for that one and ignore whatever is below or above.
