Although I do not agree at all with how the OP misled customers with fake reviews and multiple accounts I do agree with MadOctupus. A lot of the posts in this thread seem to be immature and don't understand the risks involved when purchasing services without testing. The fact that every Tom Dick and Harry has now come out of the woodwork for a refund because they didn't see results is ridiculous.

How much the guy was outsourcing his service for is irrelevant , buy low sell high, and I commend him for doing that.

As for this "Revolate" character that has been whining. The fact you actually posted that you lied on his sales thread in terms of rankings makes you just as bad as him and frankly you should see the door just the same, but you choose to be hypocritical when it suits you. You chose to ignore your own naiveness in blasting your money site and instead launched a full assault on the OP. We are all accountable for our actions, man up and except your mistakes instead of looking for handouts and dishing out sob stories.


What I don't agree with is immature kids jumping on the bandwagon because they don't have the common sense or experience to analyze a situation. I don't believe the OP ever offered guaranteed results, so what gives you guys the right to blame him when your sites crash - This could have been because of multiple factors not least numerous updates. A lot of people assume by throwing money at a site it's the magic button. Well guess what, it ain't. Time/experience/Patience/Hardwork will give you results. Not some fly by night seo service.

Did you even read the thread? The guy intentionally deceived the mods, posted fake reviews from his various different accounts and then didn't deliver what he promised in the sales thread. The content that he put on the web 2.0's for example was complete garbage and not even related to the topic.

Yes, in an ideal world we would all be amazing at SEO and know exactly what works and what doesn't but a lot of us haven't been around for years and years and are still learning. Part of how we learn is to try different services and the way I decide which ones I am going to try is based on the reviews that they have received from other BHW members. How was I to know that those reviews were fake? How was I to know that he wasn't going to deliver unique content but instead absolute shit?

If any other service had delivered the shit that this guy delivered, when they had promised unique content, then I would be asking for a refund of that service too.

Whining? I was a bit upset yeah I'll give you that, but a lot of people were. I wasn't whining to make people feel sorry for me. In fact I was going to just deal with my loss and carry on. As for looking for hand outs did you actually read this thread properly? I never once asked for a hand out nor expected anyone to help, but the members here on BHW were very kind and I appreciated the fact people were willing to help me out.

The lie was this

"Ordered Heavy for 3 quite competitive keywords. One of my keywords is 5400 exact so not massive however quite competitive and it's ranked difficult. I had other SEO services running at the time and the lie was that I was position 4 but I was actually position 2 or 3. The fact that my SERPS improved 1 position in one day or less shows that it wasn't his service but agreed I should not of done this at all and will never do it again. I've learnt my lesson the hard way. I received the horrible report and noticed it was wrong. So yes I am naive for doing what I did, but this experience I've learnt a lot and I'm still learning, this was a BIG mistake. The account he had was 2008 and I trusted that he was a legit member.

I guess nothing can be done now since he's long gone now, with your money probably spending it all. I honestly don't think he's learnt a lesson from this and I really hope Karma gets him back real bad.

Now, for the people who paid via Paypal.

a) You have the option to open a dispute. Like Xenix said, don't give a bogus tracking ID but just do what Xenix said and you may have a chance with getting the money back.

b) With 2Checkout, you are going to have to phone them up. I've heard that some people did this and had no luck. You need to keep trying and be more bold and strong when talking instead of polite and calm. Don't start swearing but you want to be angry when talking on the phone. Trust me, they will do something. Explain the situation in detail and let them know what happened.

After this, if they still say no, then you have to contact your bank who issued the payment. Tell them what happened and ask for an immediately chargeback. In some cases, you may need to pay a small fine but at least you get your money back?

If this doesn't work then I am sorry but there is nothing else you can do. Apart from learning this as a lesson and next time, being more careful when buying. If you see a SEO service with good reviews, try PMing one of those people (Id pick the one with the most posts/ rep) and ask them about their experience with the service. This way you get an idea that nothing is fake or anything, and if you are curious, hit up a Mod and ask them.

But one thing which you shouldn't do is complain about SERPs. You order it at your own risk. So guys, next time, make sure you know what you are ordering and what you are getting. No SEO service guarantees results (unless its a pay per results service) so don't bash sellers if you don't rise up the SERPs. There are many factors which effect it.

But on the whole, just be more careful when dealing online. I hope the people that got scammed, learn a lesson from this.

If you are honestly an hour away from him, then whenever you are out and near to his area, maybe you could go give him a friendly visit. Try and get in touch with his parents and let them know of the issue and how tons of people have been scammed for their hard earned money. I can still say that over $XXXX is still to be refunded by this guy.

I think some people are forgetting that he actually did have a refund policy. If he didn't deliver report in 9 days you got a full refund, its been 3+ weeks without that report. Oh ya, and he also lied to mods, posted fake reviews and testimonial..

Its now our fault that we were deceived? Also it was given to a mod to test which quality was never reported..

Anyways whats done is done.. lets all move on - lots of money to be made while portugalkix has made his last.. at least through bhw..
