Portfolio trap - Help me

Recently got an project through freelance site.
when everything for normal my client questioned me to attach the portfolios ,, the real thing is I don't have any portfolio related to this project.
Kindly help me to how to take up this situation, is there any alternatives I can add to make up the answer(like academic works, certificates, etc)
