Marijuana legalization movement is starting to really catch on soon, within 15 years its probably going to be legal in every state and maybe on a federal level. Once that happens, and police, and other law enforcement agencies will be losing money from less seized items going to auction and civil forfeiture.

Does anyone else have the feeling that the following is a possibility and maybe reason to get out of adult niches(unless you can do 2257 proof) and not even look at adult materials again.

Amateur content is exploding in availability, you can obviously know what is legal or not legal. But you may not have 2257 backing it up, the legal age persons involved it may not even be in the US.

So since the police don't have 100% proof that its legal, raid people's homes to confiscate electronic devices and arrest them for possession of illegal pornography. They have the option of taking a plea deal to a much lesser charge, letting go of confiscated items or they get charged with illegal pornography possession and their life is ruined before the media.

Porn with people will soon be replaced by computer generated virtual people. Nothing will be illegal in porn because no real humans will be involved in the production.

It won't be so much of a shakedown but more and more people will be out of work because computers can create endless variations of kink for low cost.

The economy will practically collapse under the weight of massive redundancy created across multiple industries and professions by a porn creating software than can produce millions of new clips and videos per hour.

I can certainly see them cracking down on *something* after a joint no longer leads people to incarceration. Not necessarily porn though, but it'll likely be something recreational. The system needs a bogeyman in order to function, so one can only guess what the next crack down will be.

Its not about a bogeyman, they just would need something to afford their awesome toys if marijuana being illegal can't provide for it.

VR is becoming more main stream and with the advent of virtual simulations along with stimulation...if you thought the younger generation was gone because now all interaction is done via text or social media, you can only imagine what the norm with be 15 years from now. Hell, there is a company on the internet selling young under age sex dolls and since "as mentioned above" theyre not human, then its technically ok. Gross, yes but illeagal, No!

I came across it looking for VR stuff, from there, Sex VR stuff and from there....Um, just clear your cache and go back to playing clash of clans!

Legalizing should put more $ in their pockets than incarceration and other tomfoolery. Look at the colorado reports. On a mass scale it could fix their debt problem

General city and state budgets yes, but police and sheriff departments would lose money. They would then need to find a way to cover their own budget problems.

Modern society needs a bogeyman.

When the "evil empire" collapsed, a man riding a donkey and hiding in caves, putting out tapes that nobody could trace back, became the world's most dangerous person. We never saw him, but for years this guy justified 2 major wars and trillions of U$ in military spending. A guy you never saw....

So marijuana is the reason private prisons profit today. What will happen once marijuana is legal? Well you started this thread ;) .... obviously they'll find another evil evil evil thing that must justify some tons of taxpayer money down the drain.
