Hello everybody,

Over the last few weeks, I have been trying to build up a PBN for the porn industry and I must say, so far it has been quite a headache. Over these weeks, I have scanned daily expired domains to find a site with these criterias:

  1. PR > 1 (I even looked at PR0 since we're 2015 and there are a lot of resources indicating that PR isn't even used by Google anymore...)
  2. DA > 10
  3. PA > 10
  4. Contains related keywords in the domain name (I also included keywords related to dating & cam)
  5. Indexed in Google (by using the site: function)
  6. Have a TF:CF ratio below 1:3
  7. Archive shows a "clean" website (for this industry anyway)
  8. Non spammy backlinks (as soon as I see some kanjis or hiragana Im out)

Now, the problem is that so far my research got me a nice 0 results... Every time there's something wrong somewhere in this list.

So I am starting to wonder if I should not simply try to make a PBN from scratch on my own. This way I could play safe until I feel like the domains have matured enough to be able to play their role as ranking support power. Also, I am quite comfortable with designing, coding, copywriting & content curation in the industry.

However, I am not conviced about this. So I would like to ask if anyone have experience with this kind of approach toward PBN (building each website from scratch one by one...) ? If so, is it hard & long to get them to the point where they can be useful ?

I would really appreciate any advice or tips about my current situation. Thanks !

Kanjis lmao.

Try looking for even older domains rather than only grabbing recently expired ones. I would completely ignore PR, but tbh I would also consider ignoring DA and PA which are metrics created by the absolutely useless joke known as Moz with their pathetic geriatric-speed crawlers. Look at Majestic metrics then go onto the Majestic backlinks, then you will see reality.

I find such domains daily while finding expired domains for my customers. Being indexed in Google is not important at all. All domains adult or otherwise get indexed within a few days of content being added. Concentrate on Majestic rather than on Moz. I find probably 3-5 such adult domains everyday and throw away most of them.

I think we encounter many escort girls porn expired domains along the way, ummmm but all trashed lol

So I shouldn't start making the websites from scratch for my PBN ?

Also, according to the feedbacks I have received, would those criterias be fine:
  1. Contains related keywords in the domain name (I also included keywords related to dating & cam)
  2. Indexed in Google (by using the site: function)
  3. Have a TF:CF ratio below 1:3
  4. Archive shows a "clean" website (for this industry anyway)
  5. Non spammy backlinks (as soon as I see some kanjis or hiragana Im out)

As for not being indexed by Google, isn't it a red flag if the website has no page indexed and only recently expired ?

Also, is ahrefs a good alternative for Majestic backlink checker ?

No, I would not recommend creating PBN from scratch as that defeats the idea of a PBN. If you are just going to start websites from scratch, why not to make a network of websites instead and link out wisely so that none of them can be penalized easily.

1. Yes, it can be related keywords. Even adult keywords even if not related are fine IMHO.
2. Not needed at all. Hardly any domain is indexed in Google by default. Once you add content and if the domain is clean and has passed all metrics it would get indexed in no time.
3. I personally go for TF CF score of below 1:2 for my domains as well as the ones I provide to my customers.
4. Yes, archive.org shows no Chinese stuff, relevant history.. Also check screenshots.com
5. Yes, no Chinese, Japenese etc. backlinks, no ugg boots, louboutin, spammy anchors or such stuff.

It doesn't matter at all. Every domain would get deindexed at one point or other. Most domains get dropped nearly 2 months after expiry. So, it is out of the index even the day it is dropped/available to register.

Yes, it is good for checking backlinks. In fact, it is better. But Majestic is better for checking TF CF ratio. I personally use both.

The idea of a PBN is to recycle an older site that might have some authority built. It'll be difficult for the adult niche, since a a lot of adult domains are trashed using very blackhat methods, so they get penalized quicker.

I read an excellent case study a couple years ago where this SEO agency created a legit looking dating site (think: Ashley Madison/eMatrimony) and posting research pieces on dating to attract backlinks to it from reputable sources like Universities and science groups. The result was very very succesful.

Thanks all !

Cyhead do you still have this case study by any chance? :)

Also, should I rebuild the websites exactly like they were previously ? For example, if I buy an expired tube website, should I rebuild the exact same layout or is it okay to change it into a blog or even a ... less ugly tube ? lol
