Every time I add popunder on my site im losing rankings. I'm almost 100% sute that popunders are bad for seo. I want to know your opinions too. What is your experience with popunders?

Agree with you. Aggressive ads is bad for Seo. What you can do is show your website without ads and exit pops for Googlebot and show real visitors a version with ads and exit pops.

Well known that it is bad for end user experience, hence why google downgrades sites with popups

Popunder is shit if you are not the advertiser. Imagine you're the visitor on a pounder ad. That'd be most pathetic even on the shadiest of porn site to look at.
Why plaster your site with popunder for a few cents that'll get you no where when you can just spend the same mental energy and time to brainstorm on creating your own product or at least do affiliate marketing that's relevant and useful real product to your audience?
It ruins your SEO too.

It's called clusterscore. It's to demote sites with annoying elements.

Not even porn websites use popunders in 2025 anymore...I guess only really shady or low quality websites are using it until now

You can hide your popunders for google bots, but still they gonna get reports from chrome for core web vitals.
Some of guys said, popunders are bad for SEO and vistors, very true. But, traffic from some countries from tier 3 cannot be monetized with affiliate stuff, or some kind of product. Banners are paid peanuts, so popunders still remain the best way to monetize tier 3. On adult all sites have popunders for tier 3 traffic, is not dead nor gonna be for this kind of traffic.
And if you check some stats, you gonna see there is at least 40% tier 3 traffic on WWW.
