Pop ups on BHW?

Perhaps it is just me, but I'm seeing tons of pop ups on BHW now...what is going on? I'm guessing a new, more aggressive approach to monetization.​

Never had one of those. Sure you don't have some kind of malware or something?
 
There has been a shedload of threads about this recently off various members, guess the forum moves too fast for everyone to catch them sometimes but I still have not seen one of these elusive popups yet...

I feel soooo left out ... :P
 
I've not seen one at all and I'm pretty active.. Seems unlike BHW to advertise that way..
 
That's what I thought...really strange, but seeing this only on my iPad. Downloaded an ad blocking browser app and now it is gone. Strange. Stuff from Hilton Hotels, Jamba Juice, etc. not getting this on other sites, so it seems unlikely that it is malware.
 
BHW mas inaccessible from here sporadically , throwing that cloudfare page . Another attack ?
 
Well, whatever, still shouldn't be occurring, and it seems similar things happened in mid October...will contact mods to bring to DD's attention.
 
Just got another one...so annoying..this one takes up the whole screen.

Thanks for the comments guys. That's not us though. Take a look at cleaning down your machine. We don't monetize in that way. We try and keep the ads relevant to the BHW ethos.

I have AddBlock Plus turned off for this site.
I see ads everywhere, but this is fine, banner ads are no problem. The forum has to make money.

I have still yet to see a popup of any sort.
 
Yeah, but this is on an iPad, and only when I'm on BHW. I use CCleaner on my PC. Super strange. Also, I have the 'block popups' setting enabled in iPad/Safari settings.

I don't know guys, but this implies that something is wrong somehow.
iPad is not easily infected with virus, unlike our computer. But honestly, I never find any pop-up ads whether I am in my PC, iPad, or iPhone.
 
Can somebody explain to me why BHW has to go through the Cloudfare page and then redirected to BHW ?
