Poorly optimized apps ranking GREAT!

I'm wondering how every now and then you can find a really poorly optimized app. With a poor title, not that many downloads and 100 letters description ranking great on popular keywords? How do they manage to do that?

Aren't paid downloads uninstalled almost instantly? I thought about it but why spend money on an app that clearly you didn't put any effort in? Talking about premade templates apps. I know making an app from scratch can't be done without some effort.

The retention rate is always low. The organic download rate is just above the paid ones (in game video ads), that normal.

What about impressions? Do you think they count or not? This sounds very noobish, but I'm interested if anything like this works. I mean if you send fake mobile traffic to your app on the Playstore without downloading it.

The ratio visit / download need to be the highest as possible, sending fake traffic is not a good strategy

Can you give some examples of such apps

For example: 10k downloads with almost no description. Still can't add links but you can look for it by the name "Guess : Fortnite Skin". This game is not my so it's not any form of self promotion. This are the KW for which the game is ranking regarding appannie. All these keywords have 250+ games ranking for them so as you can see without a very good ASO is ranking pretty well. I know these are not super hot KW but they still get a lot of searches.
