Hey BigHustlah, I think I know who you are and the situation with the reversals. For what it's worth, the merchant did tell us they used to simply pull affiliates when they caught the stuff you were doing (but paid for the leads), but after pulling so many affiliates for doing the same thing, they got angry enough and decided they weren't going to pay for those kinds of leads in hopes the message would get out and they'd stop getting that kind of traffic.

I'm sure you've read enough posts here about people we've booted for violations. We did not boot you from the network. If we were looking to screw you over, we would have booted you and kept your revenues from other campaigns. But we didn't do that.

I understand why you might not want to work with us anymore, but I hope at some point in the future you might understand the position we were in.

Nice, got MB owner up here and all. I voted yes. No check yet but i'm sending pretty organic traffic from social media sites. Converting well. Not going to say too much but hopefully the checks come in. I'm very.... under the radar so to speak.

Just joined and since this is my first serious cpa venture, I hope they are good. So far, I see them as a good company especially with Steve's explanation of scrubbing and losing affiliates thus losing revenue in the long run.

Yeah if the traffic is squeaky clean, you shouldn't have any issues. They definitely pay. I just took a risk and ran an against-the-rules campaign, and got caught. To Steve's point, I didn't get booted from the network, and I did still receive my wire. So it could have been worse. And I also got in trouble with that same advertiser with a different network (about 1 week prior), so Steve was also correct in saying that they might have got pissed about the frequency of campaigns like mine.

I guess I'm just used to getting all my loot on my nefarious campaigns. I don't care how much I make per month, losing $1,300 hurts. Can't ignore it. I guess that's the risk you take when you run unorthodox marketing campaigns.

Honestly, the biggest black hatters of all are probably the affiliate marketing companies. Middleman is a good position to be in to do as you may so to speak. Just watch out for certain advertisers with MB, some for me i have sent a thousand truly interested organic leads and 0 conversions. As with any network if your a new imer like me picking and chosing your campaigns based on your target demographic/audience makes all the difference. If something isn't working. Change it.

MB do Pay, and they pay on time.

Now here is some mythbusting for you:

Myth 1: MB ban without reason.

I have yet to see any tangible evidence of this. Everyone I know that has been banned crossed the line with both feet and proceeded to get in their cars and drive several miles south or the border. There are many threads complaining of WH sites getting banned - if they are WH then link them - till then I dont beleive you.

Myth 2: MB Shave/Steal/Invalidate your leads

1. If you are promoting longer form leads - like life insurance, loans etc - certain people will fill out those offers with BS to see if they will get an actual quote before entering their real info. These leads are typically reversed at the end of the month. Think about it - does a life insurance company really want to pay for Mr Big Birds details? I'm one of those people who only give real details on sites when i'm happy that their price is good.

2. If you are promoting CC sales / Trials and the purchaser cancels quickly - i *could* see the reason for the advertiser to reverse these leads. I have never seen this on MB, but on a number of other networks. I accept it and get on with my job

3. If you are promoting the email submits and seeing 100's of clicks before you get a convert, see point 1, and also consider that while there may be 100's of offers, these all belong to a much smaller number of advertisers. These advertisers have a BIG ASS database of emails and scrub based on if the email already exists in that database. If your traffic is the type of person who fills an email submit - odds are they are already on one of these databases, or are using a webmail type address specifically becuase they know they will get 10000's of spam mails becuase of these offers.


Last month a LOT of people I spoke with got 3 character email submit offers reversed - Im guessing this is the one mentioned in this thread.

I dont blame MB for this specific reversal - i do feel that the advertiser is a twat though - and as such I wont promote this type of offer again ever. I heard of people loosing 50-70$ becuase of this, while others lost over 1k. Again not MB's fault - the advertiser is a tool. I managed through speaking to a number of people to gather the backstory on this - and hence i'm not angry myself.

Ohhh while I covered some myths - heres a fact:

Fact 1: If you SSM, GodCPA, SelfFill, CakeSlice with the intention of sneaking utter BS traffic through. You can and WILL be caught - after about ohhhh 20 leads (that will also include about 50 regular clicks that are scrubbed) your signature is so huge and obvious that I wouldnt blame a network for nuking you for stupidity.

Some people talk about blending in real traffic etc etc - fuck that is what i say - deliver real visitors and you will do far better and earn far more. Real visitors who actually want the product/service will keep you largely golden.

I'm still somewhat new to this game and a paranoid bastard at the best of times. I wouldnt like to leave all my eggs in one basket - not becuase MB or any other network is shady (some are - I dont feel this is the case with MB). I like to mix things up becuase this lets me test what IS converting, and also, come the end of the week, the 15th or the 30th - i get a nice mix of payments.

At some point in the future I may revise this opinion - but if you are starting out - mix it up - what possible negatives are there to spreading your risk.

Personally if its very BH - dont go near MB (even with a portion of the traffic), if its legit - you can feel safe giving them a lot of traffic. Personally I prefer not to mix both types on a single network - as it endangers your 'safe' income.

I might just sign up for MB after reading this thread! MaxSteve seems like a cool guy, who does not want to work with good people?

MaxBounty is a great CPA network, but people don't like it because they get caught out with their BS clicks and traffic. And as MaxSteve said, MB take care of both affiliates AND merchants, so they clamp down onto Blackhat rather quickly. This doesn't mean anything really other than MB know how the system works.

In short:
If its legit - Go MB.
Otherwise don't even bother and take your narcoleptic 13 year old impatience somewhere else. The rest of us are happy to play it cool to make money.

I have made and been paid over 7k in the past couple of months from MB. Although they will tell you that they do weeklies if you earn over 1k per week for two weeks on the trot - this has not been my experience, i got a flat refusal

No matter, that puts them in my net15 category. I give traffic but only a single digit percentage of what I would.

I'm just starting out but I love them so far. Constant stream of good offers + the account managers seem great at what they do.

I will FINALIZE and say they're good once they PAY me.

They pay and also have a nice list of offers!

Yeah they do, some of the ones I was looking for they don't have though, like pangya gold and other gaming CPA offers
