I voted no. I don't hate it but I don't like it.

I browse and read a lot more than I post. I won't be the only one.

I get that it's a work in progress but I cannot understand why there wasn't a 'proper' beta phase. I saw the beta thread but it wasn't done very well (no offence intended it's just an opinion). When I checked it out there was no guidance that I could see on what I was meant to be checking, testing and measuring.

Anyway, now it's gone live there are issues. There's the odd thing I see people complaining about in terms of functionality. Fair enough, it's a big migration and it's hard to get right technically. My issue is that I don't feel compelled to log on and to browse through threads like I used to. You can't really help that because it's all a matter of taste but I can tell you that as a frequent reader, whatever has changed has reduced my willingness to read threads. You know that that reduces my exposure to ads. In fact, since you've gone live I cannot remember a single service that I've seen advertised either in banner form or in a signature link.

Just to clarify, I browse the forum exclusively on mobile because I read on downtime. If I'm at workstation I'm working so I don't have time for the distraction. I've only worked 3 hours so far this week excluding a couple of short business trips where I was unavailable. Point being, I should have visited more than I did.

Please remember I'm not being deliberately negative. I like this forum and I thought I'd take time to share my experience.

I'm new here so I don't know what it looked like before but I wasn't a big fan of the black theme when I first opened the site. Then I tried the white one and LOL it's even worse :D The sidebar menu is also confusing. I don't know how to navigate to the Want To Buy sub-forum from there (instead I have it bookmarked). The layout does need some getting used to but overall it's okay, and considering the functions I'd even dare say good.

Thanks for taking the time to comment @towelfox we ran a 12 month beta starting with JR. VIP's and then 4 months with general forum. Advertised on every page and sent multiple pm's and emails to engaged members. We had many points of feedback and many iterations from the fantastic members of BHW., sorry you were not able to be part of that. We purposefully didn't give guidance as each member interacts with the forum in different ways, putting a particular path in place would have been counterintuitive.

Acknowledging that you browse mainly on mobile (as about 7% of the BHW members do - recognising this is way below industry standards) you will have seen the greatest amount of changes. Banners and signatures have been removed on smaller screen sizes ensuring a better UI. Ad's will be coming back into smaller screen mobile but as a dynamic forum design we're using the space in an optimal manner. iPhone 6plus - landscape - and larger screens all have banners and footers enabled. If you feel like you're missing out on the latest offers and can't access from a larger screen then please check out the marketplace.

I've spent the last 25 minutes trying to find the big Amazon affiliate guide TUT thingy... Still nowhere close to finding the fucker.
Use the search - top right - ?

Ha ha, I had tried that.

For some reason I had it in my head it was BTB or T0mmy who had started the thread, totally forgot it was Meathead

What I do like is the ' unwatch thread ' button.

Loving it so far. Cake is better than yes so I voted cake. On the lookout for bugs as usual.
