Totally going with 3rd option here. If that was the case, 95% of scammers would be gone.

Can you give an example to the threads you are referring to?
In any way I don't think there's a reason to limit the actions of 99% of the users just to prevent the 1% from whatever it is that they do.

I'm always in favor of additional options to protect members, but I would also love to see this:

What DM has to do with that?
I have people that register to forum because they want to contact me
So I can't wait for them till they make 150 post to be able to PM me
There the usual ones like "I made a million creating fake OF videos". So people DM asking to find out how.. then they are sent to a scam page that sort of thing.
But yes I agree with all of your points - all completely valid.
Maybe I am being a bit over protective, thinking someone might be scammed out of a lot of money.
But I still get annoyed at the posts. To me they are just slimy people and I don't like slimy people full stop.
And yes .. its a Blackhat forum, but outright scamming is not Blackhat - its just plain evil.
And shitting on your own doorstep should be a crime :)
For me Blackhat is "Giving it to the man", circumventing Googles hate of ordinary people trying to make a living on line.. screwing Big Corp for screwing us.
That's all I've got lol

I understand your point very well.

But everyone does what they think they should, believe me, I spent years and years and years and years trying to change some people, to change their views on the world, but I didn't succeed.

Then you realize that everyone has the right to do what they want, whether it's right or wrong, in my opinion.

Of course, everyone is also responsible for their actions, if someone believes in getting rich overnight even in 2024, they deserve what they are asking for.

Mods cannot protect everyone and see everything and change the rules every few weeks or months, the rules are clear for everyone, and everything else is up to people, but literally, everything.

We can only give them some well intentioned guidelines, whether they will obey them or not is another story.

Unfortunately, the proposals you have suggested to combat the issue you are reporting would be considered too harsh on our regular users. If you suspect a member of phishing or breaking the rules, we always welcome your reports so we can investigate the matter.
