Guys/gals,

Im after a solid relationship here with someone who has wanted or is wanting to run their own poker room/site like partypoker etc BUT before you all jump at me saying how stupid etc it's not any old poker room, it's with a twist which allow's U.S parties to compete again.
I know of one competitor, and i have this all worked out to the tea along with a sogtware company im in talks with at the moment.

For the JV, all in all we are looking for a 50/50 split on a $10k startup.

Potential earnings i will only talk about if someone is serious, i cannot disclose anything until i have that person sign an NDA.

Good question r00t.
Pref one person as i said 50/50 split on a 10k startup, BUT i'm open to see who comes forward i can then make a decision.

But for anyone who does step forward, i'd personally like you to be able to afford $5k no problems.

I have plenty of stuff up my sleave but this is a serious long term venture.

A $5K investment is a big sum for anyone, even the "gurus".

Will the website be developed on purpose for you (the buyer)?
If yes, how much will it cost? Time to be available? And the experience of the team developing it?

How much time would it take to break even?

Does that $10K include the advertisement, dedicated hosting with DDOS protection, etc., costs?

I suppose the bank would have to be offshore? Is it also included in the initial costs?
 
right listen, your asking more indepth here, like i said i wont disclose more than i have because it's a twist that hasnt yet been hugely established.

No licenses needed, put it like that.

If you think $5K is alot and your wanting a quick return next week you can get on your bike, this is a serious long term proposal.

Sorry but 5K is not alot for a poker room/site let me tell you that now for nothing.

I don't think those questions are that indepth.
They are just general questions, and that every person interested would have the right to know about.
 
yes but the model i have laid out is different ok. If i answered your questions it would tell you what i'm looking to put out.

Just let me tell you, no bank's needed, security (nothing to worry about)

@graphicnut, Then how can you get confidence with your JV partners if you are not telling the plan, even on a very simple layout?

You're asking someone to invest $5K without any specific information.

I'm not attacking you, just trying to understand.

Anyone who has looked into the poker business ok will know that any start up would cost $100k just for a good platform, then millions in advertising.

I will disclose my plan if an nda is signed, im not asking to hand over 5k then i'll tell you hehe :)
 
Is it suitable for mates here in the US? Like I am in the US, so would this require me to get a special license or would I even be able to invest in such a venture? And upon agreement, would we be just sending you the cash or is this to make a purchase [I guess I'm more wondering how secure my cash will be]?

ETA: When would this all be needed to go down too?
 
Suitable for U.S res yes, no license's needed. Regarding the investment we can talk either way, it can be used to purchase or just put into the business account along with the my investment into the business and then purchase from there.

The business is corp regged here in the UK.
 
ummm... you need a gambling license which runs around 100k from what i have seen. there are options from what i have read where you can rent out on a network for something like 20k i believe and use their software.

the competition is tough and getting customers is even tougher. i looked into this business a year or so back but it was just way too tough for me and i didnt have the resources. good luck with your venture though! it can be EXTREMELY profitable if you are successful
 
first of all, I think 10k is realy not enough for a pro poker site and why dont you get 5k more if you think thats enough? Then you have all the profits ...
 
10K on poker business maybe will help you to get like 10-20 folks signed up under your referral link , if you wanna start it from zero .... cost's are far away bigger ( failed already into one thing like this investing more than 55K ... ). If you are saying you don't need a license means you are runing the site like '' co-brand '' which will give you less revenue from the deposits , else you are running it illegal which make things much more '' dirty '' ..

take a look at http://www.spadeclub.com -- anyone who is willing to compete against the top rooms is silly at this moment in time unless you have millions for advertising.

P.S I have other twists for it including incent cpa offers, for reload if they hit 0 chips etc, alot u can do and no license needed as its not gambling money :)
