i had this poker tournament last night at the casino,

came out 7th, lost against a stupid hand.

i had AJ, i was first to call, i just call, everybody folds, but one guy goes all in, i have more than double his chips, so fuck it i call, he reveals a 10 and a fucking 3, flop, turn, river, he beats me with a straight.

i guess he just wanted to get the blinds, but in my opinion it was not worth it, specially with that kind of shitty hands

now, if i had raised, he would probably folded, i would had won.

i should have raised, but cmon, playing a 10 3, no way, specially in late game.

No offence, but these kind of moves from your opponents make you money long-term, so you should be grateful. I suggest you do some reading about poker theory and also mindset, so you won't get mad at standard situations like that ;)

im not angry, i used to pay my rent with poker money, but i was playing cashgames, i just moved and only tournaments are available here, its a different way of playing.

those shit happens, but next time he plays like that i will win

late game AJ in pre-flop UTG is an all in hand or at least a raise of 10x blind value because it's a statement to the rest of the table :) late games shouldn't be played on the safe side because you mostly get your chips eaten by the blinds and ante ... the guy going all in with T3 had nothing to lose on that hand because you just called and he basically forced your hand and luck was on his side

next time play more aggressive and try to steal as many hands as possible with 9'ers and above, especially in a late game where people don't play that many hands

AJ is a raise or fold hand in your spot pre flop, yes okay his shove looks exactly what it is weak, but still its such a bad spot to just call off when you have such little invested. Mind you you haven't stated the blinds, antes chip stack just you had more than double.

I get it to be a 3/1 fav to win pre flop sucks when you lose, but you made the decision to call. Your limp in to the pot, at least to him must of looked weak, therefore his cards were not relevant to decision he made to try and take the pot.

You limped UTG with AJ?
I hate limping, you should be raising or folding with that hand, don't blame the T3 guy at all he saw a spot to steal what was in the middle
