Poker Bots?

I personally have a poker bot, there are forums just like BHW where guys have their input and profiles are being made. It works in the micro stakes and is good for building points, they just released a new profile for Rush poker on full tilt. PM if you are interested, there are currently 3 poker bots on the market right now.

I promise you, any botting software that is commercially available are -EV (poker/math term, look it up). Why not get good at the game yourself? Also, alot of you guys that say your play and win, that might be short term (of a sample of say 10,000) that doesn't make you a winning player truly.

When you have around 1 million hands logged in a database program like pokertracker or hold em manager you can say with fair certainty if you are a winning player. Playing 4 tables is nothing, some people play 24 tables at one time on 2 side by side monitors. The theory is, if you are a winning player over the long term, more tables = $. So start with 1 and work your way up.

Also remember that online poker and live poker are 2 completely different games in many respects. In a casino you can MAYBE play 60 hands/hour. But online you can play thousands, the average hands per hour on an online table is about 100/per. Now add in the fact that you can play many tables at once, and you can realize how many more hands you can play on a computer as opposed to live poker.

For anyone really wanting to make money from online poker my 2 golden tips for you are absorb the massive amount of poker knowledge available at twoplustwo.com participate in their massive forums, full of online and real life pros. Ask lots of questions and participate in their community, it will pay off BIG in the long run.

Also practice good bankroll management. This means don't play for more than you can lose and still not care, your not affected in any emotional way. The rule of thumb for cash (ring) games is have 50 buyins for whatever stake your playing. If your playing the lowest stakes, .1/.2 blinds, a buyin is 100 BB = $2.00

So, to play at the lowest stakes its recommended you have a bankroll of atleast $50.00 to make a serious attempt at actually getting better and moving up. Bankroll management is a proven winning technique that is fully designed to minimize losees and avoid TILT. Many professional poker players are professional because of this + running good.

Wow that's brilliant man, I'll have to look more into these poker bots.

Why not just play the SNG games & pay close attention to details.
I play about 20% of my hands & It seems to be going pretty good.
Bots can be detected, look for things like X people in hand Bot Raises X%.
Find out when the BOTS bluffs & start calling them, nothing is better then draining a bot.

I think you should be careful in what you promise. I use commercially available software and im +EV. I dont know the ammounts of total hands ive played
but its over 500.000 maybe even over 1 million. And if the pokerbots dont have a mathematical approach of the game, i dont know what does...

You honestly dont think a good poker player can create a profile to go +EV on lower stakes?
A bad poker player to buy/get a good profile to go +EV too?
Of course you need good bankroll management, its still poker.

Just look at the graphs in Bonusbots forum, some people are makeing serious cash... Imagine if you whould have for example 3 bots sitting in the same MTT/SNG or cash game etc. You dont think the odds whould improve?(im _not_ doing this btw)

@rytpillager Its really not that easy, the bots play the same hands differently, bets differently and so on.. Even i have trouble of outplaying people manually who i know using the same botprofile as i am..

If you dont want to play against the annoying bots, just play at a site most of them doesnt support
-

Since i can generate licenses its just a fun hobby while earning a little profit

+EV?

Anychance i could get a noob crack on that?

thanks in advance ;)

"Expected Value/EV - The long term effect of making certain decisions. Can be either negative (-ev) or positive (+ev). e.g. Constantly calling raises w/ 93o is ?EV (as in, u keep doing it, u are going to lose money in the long run)"

Poker still hasnt exploded yet 2011 should see Poker explode across the world 300Million and counting. the time people spend playing poker is amazing like no other game in history.

Lets see if USA get off its arse and opens the doors.

this is totally wrong .... poker ( actually hole gamble industry ) was exploited at maximum potential I think till UIGEA come out late on 2006 ... since then a continue decline of this industry since only few poker rooms mostly independent one still accepted US players at the real cash tables ... like any other large scale bizz ... without americans moneys nothing can move nicely around ...

does it make profit? I know a breakeven bot can earn good profit with rakeback so does it break even

poker bots are real, and they work! if you wanna learn more - follow this thread, i will post detailed info in the coming days!

As a poker player I'm disgusted about the idea of poker bots since they could kill online games. Luckily there are not too much of them so far, or bots are not good enough so you can still beat them.

I used bonusbots several years ago, probably around the time this thread was created and it lost me $20 on micro tables (PokerStars)

I've played a LOT of poker over the years (1.5mill hands this year) and can say the games are getting tougher. Poker has been solved in some of the easier math-related formats, advanced poker bots are out there and are using each others information at a table and collating it all together. You might get a small bot that does what you want, but for it to be good and to beat others nowadays you have to be good at poker yourself to program it.
Then your edge in the games comes from not being emotionally invested when you consistently get unlucky time and time again (bots don't get frustrated), and one bot knowing what the other bots folded making it % less likely random player has a strong hand.
There are bots out there beating the games for a decent %, but the ones that we see are the ones that are winning at a high rate. No one notices the bots which are losing huge because of some programming errors. Don't invest in any poker bots out there, because if someone has a bot as good as they say it is, they would be using it and definitely wouldn't be selling it for any price under (at a very MINIMUM) $10k.

Also the bigger sites, like Pokerstars have pretty good bot detection software these days, and when I've been playing a high volume of tables, a few times I've been hit with a captcha

Poker bots get stronger every year, it will turn like chess and backgammon
