I bought a domain on domain.com and want to point it to my vultr server

Does anybody know how to do this? I added A record and Cname to the dns in Domain.com.

Do I also need to change the nameservers?

Best regards

No need to change nameservers. Just point the A record to the vultr IP. That should do it.

Like this would be okay?

More details needed about your hosting situation at vultr, perhaps you need to use their nameservers as implied by the response above. You can use the domain name itself also as the nameserver depending on host. ns1.mydomain(.)com and ns1.mydomain(.)com if your registrar allows a "custom" namerserver. Then these private nameservers you set up point to the A record ip address you were assigned by the host. You can do this with multiple domains on one shared plan.

Thanks for the help everybody, it is fixed now. Asked support. Will show later how it looks now
