I would not, the competition is too high as its trending to have podcasts also you should have a huge follower base to make it worth your time.
I had a friend that said they use the program "Acoustica" to make podcasts, this might help.
There's a lot I could say, but essentially, as long as you build a simple, consistent rhythm it's much easier to podcast. It's always harder at the beginning when you're setting everything up, but it gets easier. I liked Ezoic's recent post about it, good stuff in thereOK, it might be timeI'm thinking of starting a podcast. I feel like it'd be a good fit for my site. Is this going to take an insane amount of work? Any tips??

A recording device and a server to upload the recording on is basically enough to publish podcasts. I think many people upload their recordings on podcast platforms which eliminates their need of a server of their own.

Creating content on podcast side is pretty easy, you don't require to create videos like youtube or don't need to fit SEO terms but the problem with podcasting is you need a community ready to listen. You just need to learn a few audio editing tricks (I recommend audacity, free and easy).

Yes, I agree! Biggest challenge is how to to successfully integrate podcasting strategy and build a following that directly leads to increased traffic and revenue. Thanks for your insight! I'll definitely check out audacity.
