POD / Dropshipping Journey to Profitability

Hey all,

To get to the starting point of this journey has taken years. Years of researching all the different ways to make money off the internet but never sticking with one long enough to make a single dollar. This time I plan on entering the POD / Dropshipping arena for as long as it takes and I'd be ecstatic if you followed along with me.

Goal: As of today I would just like to start making a profit.

Plan: So I have a couple things going on.

1. POD - Following Greg Gottfried's model which leverages the power of PlaceIt to make POD designs for Redbubble, Teespring, and Merch by Amazon
   .
2. Dropshipping - I have a t-shirt line of my own that I will be pedaling using PlaceIt + Shopify + Printful + MP.

Monthly Spending

So when I start clearing just $75/month I will be jumping for freaking joy because this shit aint no walk in the park.

Progress for POD

• So far I used Merch Informer's free 3 day trial to research my niche, then canceled that sucker before they charged me.
• Registered for Redbubble & Teespring and put up 5 designs on each of them that I made myself using PlaceIt.
• Applied for Merch by Amazon (fingers crossed they let me in!)

Goals for POD

• Make + upload as many designs as I can. PlaceIt makes it pretty simple, but I want them to be quality and dont mind taking it somewhat slow. If I can upload at least 2 designs everyday I think I'll be happy.

Progress for Dropshipping

• I have an IG account with 2k followers which grew from a related niche that I scrapped and am beginning to use that for my t-shirt line.
• Shopify store that is pretty basic but I am happy with and has 15 t-shirt designs uploaded.

Goals for Dropshipping

• Make more designs, probably 5-10 more before fully switching focus to marketing.
• Marketing! (I've never got further than this point in all my time trying to make money on the internet) I feel like my whole marketing strategy is to use MP to grow following & create brand awareness, thinking that with the right targeting I should get some good traffic coming in.
  • I could definitely use all the advice I can get in this area!
