I recently had powermta and Interspire installed, but I can't get shit into the inbox. I'm used to getting 1-5% CTRs when I used a ESP, now with this today I received a whooping 0.15%. I need help, I need to really increase my deliverability and the guy I paid already isn't helping.

It has nothing to do with your combination of softwares. How many emails are you sending? How many IPs are you rotating? What is your present open rate? Did you check to see if your IP is blacklisted? Did you warm up your IP prior to sending? What is the quality of your database? Do you have a high bounce rate or spam rate? There are many factors that affects deliveribility. You can use rotating SMTPs through setup in POWERMTA to increase the delivery rate. Alternatively mix it with sendgrid or mandrill (if you are not worried about ban). You should achieve a very high inbox rate. However, nothing is 100% when you are not sending to an opt it list.

could be your message then, check the spam score. Otherwise try warming up your ip by sending a random email without a link.

I've been using an ESP for a year without any inbox problems so I know what messages are truly going to the spam folder or not, sent same message using Aweber and no problem getting into inbox.

Warm up your IPs. How many IPs are you using? How many emails are you sending per hour? All these factors will affect your delivery. Aweber etc have a seperate team to handle whitelisting and strict policy to ban account who spam. They are different, that is why they are charging you a premium to send those emails.

First you should make sure your infrastructure is setup properly.
If you paid 200-300 dolars for this setup,i am sure it is problematic.PowerMTA is a software for professionals and can not be configured by copy-paste.
Anyway,without warming up your ips,it is nearly impossible to inbox in year 2013.

ESPs have ips that are whitelisted with the major domains like aol, hotmail and yahoo. With platforms like powerMTA your responsible for ip reputation, warming up ips etc much harder to achieve inboxing. Inboxing with Mass mail on your own ips is almost impossible right now. This is assuming the ips you purchased weren't already burned by another mailer. If the ips are clean its still very difficult as they have no reputation.
Which ISP are we talking about ?
