PM Spam... Offering Services via PM?!?! WTF??

Just wondering if everyone else is getting a bunch of junk shit about people offering their services via PM...

It's like I wake up and have 6-8 junk PM's....
about people getting ready to ...dah dah dah...

.....but if I tried their...dah dah dah... I could let people know...dahdah

What the hell??..

I think people with 30 posts or higher should be able to send PM's....
Nobody else.....

Seriously.. I clean out my PM box like once a week.....

I get pm spams too,

sometimes the message assumes that i asked for the service or something
 
I get alot of this and also weird people adding me on my messengers and asking me if i need anything.....

and i'm like, dude... what the fuck....

Yeah.. I had to remove my messengers because of all the people that would add me.

I don't mind someone asking me a question or for advice.. I like to give advice and what not.. but when people just fucking add me and ask "how you making money" or "what is your method".. come on..

Recently, I just saw a JV thread pop up so I PMd the guy for more info, and his "JV" is that he's sending people to TrialPay as his referral.
 
Havent had any in a while. If you do get spam pm's just forward them to a mod or admin. like clix or pofecker and they will be dealt with.
We are not suppost to spam the pm system here for shit like that. They can post in the appropriate thread.

I slept perfect last night.... felt good this morning when I woke up... and now i'm angry because I gotta go through and delete all this bullshit I get from FUCKING LOYAL MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM....

It's probably because of your signature.. I'm assuming you're getting all kinds of

"How can I make 1000 weekly"
or
"How do you make that much?"

Something along those lines?
 
Yeah... I get those kind....but that's normal... Those people are legit..

It's the other PM's ....where people ask me to buy shit and sign up for shit....and tell the forum how good their shit is....

that's what bothers me
 
Be sure to hit the red Report button, that's the best thing to do, because it will quote the entire PM to the staff via email & PM.

We'll take care of it asap and issue out infractions / bans.
 
All I get are people begging me for stuff it might be nice to get someone offering me something for a change
 
I occasionally respond to posts via PM offering my services but only to posts which are seeking solutions which I offer.

I'm wondering if such replies would be considered to be "PM Spam"?

I never, ever; not now, not ever just go around PMing members otherwise.

These guys have to be using xrumer, that or some old P.O.S called Forum Blaster (I think) it was actually made by an old mod here back in the day..

Anyways the solution to kill pm spam, would seem to be adding a function that trips up xrumer. Seeing as botmaster has an account here, Im sure he could fill you in.

Actually shit, I know the solution myself. Xrumer comes with a preloaded set of urls to look for when going to "send pm"

So just changing the extension for that url should work.

OR, you could disable the memberslist function. That would certainly trip it up.

Of course theres ways to tweak all these things inside xrumer yourself, but I doubt most users have wasted as much time as I have studying the damn thing.
