HI, first time I have posted anything like this so if it is in the wrong place please remove.

I have been doing affiliate marketing for coming up to 15 years, mainly adult, but have tried other things.

I have always done a bit of spam, back in the day it was very affective, I still do sometimes but only useing Kik app mainly if I do & nevr once had any problems.

2 days ago I got got a letter from my ISP company warning me that a third party as contacted them & said suspicious traffic is coming from my internet connection.
It didnt say who the third party was.

They told me to install antivirus etc blah blah as I may have a device affected with maleware but I know thats not the case as I run through Lan & not Wifi & my computer is %100 clean.

The only thing I have done diffrent in the last couple of months is the Reddit + Twitter method. I can not see Twitter reporting me to my ISP as used that for years. I have been reported to an affiliate network a few years ago for spam off POF but the founder is known for that.

I also did some Dropshipping on Reddit + Twitter with clickbank a few weeks ago.

All my other traffic is organic via social media & my blog so the only Third party I could think that as contacted my ISP is Reddit as it is a very big company & I know they are strict.

I just thought I would put this here as I see a lot of people are using the same method.

This method is very good if used right but the people that are doing it please use a very good VPN so this does not happen to you. I can not be %100 sure that it is Reddit but first time in 15 years I have used it & then I get a letter.

The letter also said if it keeps happenng that it could lead them to suspend or cancel my account.

My ISP is Virgin Media.

Is this Virgin by any chance ?
I got one off them and I complained on forum , because its A. A scam to get you to install their anti virus which basically tells them what your doing on your PC. And B. I screwed up by scraping bing without proxies.
Go on the forums and tell them to fuck off. Use some back rotating proxies and they can't do a thing.
About a year ago I was doing a huge link check with no proxies and my network went down and didn't come back up until I complained to the help desk. I told them I was doing SEO work and they said "Ok that's what it is", and its never happened again and I haven't a letter either , even though I do 20 x's as much scraping and posting.

You have been doing this for 15 years, and you were not using any kind of IP spoofing. isn't that the bane of spamming?

I am 99.999% sure it's not related to reddit. I have created hundreds of accounts on my home IP, been banned on hundreds of accounts on my home IP. Spammed them with thousands of links on my home IP. Probably they saw you connected to a torrent or just had high downloading volume and want to scare you.

Very interesting. Yes virgin, I thought it was strange after all the years & also knew the maleware was a load of rubbish. I run NOD32 etc. I got no worries on being affected. I was stupid when posting to Reddit & not using proxis. Thank you for you input & that informatin.

Yes it is lol. But like I say, I only mainly do adult so do not need to worry about proxis etc. I just thought I would try something diffrent. But yes was silly posting on reddit without a proxi. I was upvoting with TOR but main post without a proxi lol.

I dont really download that much tbh but yes you could be right. Wish they said who the third party was.

Nah it's not stupid. Unless your accounts are getting instantly banned when you create them, it's no problem.

I bet that your ISP detected you were using TOR and that is what triggered the warning from them.

it is a lot more "affective" to just post the link or even mention the method your talking about. There are a lot of methods and knowing what is the one that got in into trouble is very difficult.

Yes I never thought of that. I have just been trying to think what I have done diffrent mate.

There is a method I brought off here off @jefis which is really good & also another post about the dropshipping which I also did which is

Like I say. I can not be %100 sure it is anything to do with this.
