You remind me of the bald plumber video I used to watch
I have a local service website too.
Just a few tips:
- count on 6 month till your site shows any signs of ranking
- Your main keywords are going to be "Plumber (city) (state)" , "Plumber (city)" , "Plumber".
- Older sites in your industry will kick your ass in serps for years. Only when your site is a couple of years old will it maybe pull ahead.
- Most of the services in the BHW marketplace are for websites for a national or world audience. Local website do not need huge backlink profiles. That would be overkill. Google knows that a plumber site in one city is not gonna have 1,000 spam links because it is restricted demographically. If you do good onsite SEO you will not need any links at all. But if you did have a chance for quality backlinks from a local news channel or Chamber of Commerce that would be gold.
P.S. Google Business listing is were 85% of your traffic is gonna come from. Give customers a discount for an "honest" review. If you can get enough reviews you can dominate the "3-pack" in your area and make some serious bank. The website is probably gonna produce a fraction of the calls unless you are doing some amazing SEO. Most business owners have the time to really give their website the attention it needs. PM me if you have any questions.
