Plugins to Stop Spam comments

Now a days, Sites are spammed by blog commenting on a post. So i have searched more plugins to stop them and got some best plugins. Keep your WordPress website clean and well maintained. I want to give aware about this to some newbies here:

Anti-Spam Bee
Akismet
WordPress Zero Spam

Akismet is IMO the best option. Or you can use disqus and let them take care of spam.

Akismet works very good, I had few times big problems with spam comments and akismet solved it.

Set comments to off
Set comments to Manual approved
Use a plugin
Use Facebook comments
Add one line of code to your child theme functions php and turn spam comments into real ones

I am using WP-SpamShield Anti-Spam for my blog. It works great and prevent spam comments and help me to clean up my blog. Highly recommendable plugin

If you are able to implement the recaptcha plugin, that should stop spam tremendously. You can set recaptcha to appear on contact form, comment form, login form on Wordpress. It will definitely help you block those spam from legitly registered on your blog.

Agree with this, disable wordpress comments and enable Facebook comments. A lot more benefit in Facebook comments too.

I didn't know all of them, thanks for the list! Definitely helps, as I would never want to disable comments for my blogs and let legit messages go away. They add unique, relevant and fresh content, why would anyone not want them

I usually auto approve all the comments and I get some spam at time I just trash it.
