I don't get one thing, if I use PLR articles on my site and 50 other people do the same, won't google penalise me for duplicate content?

I do not. PLR is good for me. There' so many factor google banned you. I have many succes site with PLR. Thanks

There are always opposing thoughts on dupe content. For me, since I'm a writer I never use PLR content "as is", rather taking a decent PLR article, then using it as the basis for a quick rewrite. This allows me to cut WAY DOWN on the research time, but still have unique content. It's tough to scale that though.

In my experience, I haven't been banned for duplicate content. Of course, I always run my articles thru a small rewrite before posting.

Duplicate content is a myth. SEs love content and that's all there is too it! The main purpose of the web - to spread the word around. Places like ezinearticles and news sites would never exist if that wasn't true. These sites are full of duplicate content. You will only get the "Duplicate Content" problem if you've duplicated the same pages on the same site. That will raise the big G flag, as with the rest - don't worry about that.

Look at all the news site, they are all using duplicate content aren't they?

How about adsense? Will they ban me for duplicate content?

Nope, they won't as it is separate from search rankings.
You could have a very profitable website (in Google's eyes as well as yours) without SE traffic but only referer websites or words of mouth, thanks to duplicate articles...
