What is so good about plimus?

Are they more lenient about some things you could sell as opposed to paypal?

Alternative to plimus is paypal ...i use plimus and they are ok ...the problems is if u make one sale on 1 june u receive the money from plimus on 20 july and with paypal u can have it next day .

would i be able to sell some shady stuff on there?

I know that they are better in preventing fraudulent orders... dont know if there are any other pros, but they definatly prevent fraudulent orders a lot better than paypal..

Plimus - i remember hearing so much about at dp that i went and had at look it and it just looked like another digital type marketplace but it had such a poor looking design with template and graphics so ugly and unusable gui - i remember thinking why would any seller bother listing and trying to sell there...... unless it gets a lot of natural traffic to it

I think alot peeps from asian countries you it as alternative payment processor if they have had trouble getting verified and funding/withdrawing from ppal but not sure? So maybe its the platform and convienence for some maybe?

Plimus is great. I used Paypal in the past to sell virtual items and their fraudulent payment handling is horrible. PayPal does very little, and in most cases absolutely nothing to combat fraud. I've been using plimus for 4 months and love it, their fees are slightly higher but they earn their money.

i think they also give you an autoresponder, right?

OFFER??!?! Where did she mention an offer? She just explained what they as a company are doing and she said for any questions email her... Go collect your number of posts somewhere else! And at least write something a little, just a little bit, smarter than this.

Actually I have never had any issues with their support. And the phone calls take part of the security system.. They do not call all clients.. Only when something looks suspicious.. This way the credit card fraud is reduced a lot. I wish Paypal would do this! Dont Worry: As long as your clients are real and not doing anything "shady" (i.e. using proxies or so), they wont get a call. (at least thats my experience).

You may want to check out FastSpring.com E-Commerce. No manual fraud checks (no phone verification prior to an order completing) and support response time is always 12 hours or less. FastSpring does not accept any "shady" products per se, only digital products with standard chargeback rates.

As spydj mentioned, not all orders need phone verification. The way our fraud management system works is by flagging certain orders that are likely to be unauthorized by the card holder. Those orders will be stopped for manual review, a process where our reps review the order to verify the order is legitimate.

Most orders that are stopped for manual review are processed within minutes, however in some cases where a phone call is required to confirm the legitimacy of the order it may take longer - e.g: if the order is placed at a time where it is in inappropriate to call (too late at the customer's time zone), which is why we inform the customer it may take up to 12 hours although it is most likely to take few minutes at most.

I know that this process can be frustrating for customers who do have to wait for the phone verification, and we are constantly working on improving the process, but the manual review process is done to protect both the customer and the vendor from costly online credit card fraud and only a small percentage of orders is manually reviewed.

Be careful and get all the info on plimus. They allow people to purchase and download your e-goods. They don't communicate with you before giving those people a refund... instead they email you and tell you we issued a refund to prevent a charge back. Even, after they issue the refund you owe them a service fee of up to 12.00 per transaction for their having been the platform for the sale. So, in a nutshell... they allow you to sell e-products via Plimus. They collect the customers money and then they refund the customer, with no questions asked. They then charge you up to $12. for having been the platform your product was offered on. So, lucky you... You get to pay them a fee of up to $12. for every sale you make...Yipppeee... that means you make a sale, customer wants and receives a refund and you still owe them that up to $12. fee for having made it possible for you to at least have a chance at a sale or getting ripped off. Wow, that means people can purchase your e-goods all day via Plimus. They get the goods and then decide, "Oh, I shouldn't have to pay for this great information!" So... that customer can get a no questions asked refund and you will receive a fee charge of up to $12. for having been able to have any dealings with that rip-off customer. I speak from experience. So...you decide how sweet a deal that is for you. And another thing is you can wait up to 45 days to get a payment from them for your sales. I decided to just go via paypal and stop testing other platforms that are definitely not to my benefit. Good for them though... they can hold your money a long time before you get paid and can allow people to download your e-goods and all the while making a profit no matter what. You are gonna love those service fees that they deduct from your sales. So, if you make some sales and some losers rip you off... they get their money back and they also cause you to lose up to $12 from your funds. Can't say enough about Plimus but can definitely say ... be very careful!!!!! Last important point... Some people will tell people whatever and let them find out for themselves that they've been or are getting ripped off. I'm not gonna sit by and not share my real life experience with the source. I'd rather tell my story and experience than see someone else taken advantage of... Enough said.

They are taking about 5$ Fee for each transaction ..
