Pligg social bookmarks? Should we still use them?

Is it a good idea to submit urls to pligg sites. It seems social bookmarks are becoming what blog comments have become a year ago. They will rather hurt your site than help you move to the top. Is it true? A lot of BHW services still provide social bookmarks as part of their sefvice. Won't that hurt the customer?

MAybe its better to concentrate on forum profiles? Forums get spammed too, but at least your profile page is isolated from other profiles, and looks rather ok, while pligg pages look like a spamfest.

Are you still using pligg in your campaign?

I am still using it and it definitely still does good.
You just have to make sure you are not blasting your site, and instead blasting your tier around it.

Aunt G. wrote some Webmaster in Googlewebmastertools remove your links from (Pligg-) SB Webs. Ha Ha - the ( predominantly asian - working for UK business) webmasters think google is god and build "seo-"remove-teams .... - SB with Pligg is always fine - faster indexing for new webs or articles and trust - few sb-links are sufficient.
