Please verify my link building/SEO strategy..

So I'm about to embark on a LOT of link building to get good rankings in the SERPs.

Please read my strategy and tell me if it's a complete waste of time or I'm going in the right direction.

I've got 3 other people working on this with me too so we have a lot of man power and time but we don't want to WASTE our time.

So Structure goes as follows:

TOP - Money Site on top.

FIRST TIER - Hundreds of 'High Quality Content' blogs rich with keywords and backlinks pointing towards the money site. - ALL HAND MADE

SECOND TIER - The same as the first tier except it links to the first tier and not the money site. - ALL HAND MADE

THIRD TIER - LinkBuilding services and software like SENUKEx and Xrumer creating masses of links that all point to the SECOND TIER - Also Keyword Rich - COMPUTER AUTOMATED.

This is the first SEO that I've done so I'm going to start with the easier keywords first to verfiy that the method works and then use it on the harder keywords.

Am I wasting my time with this strategy or is it the right way to be doing things?

I'm trying to go for a mix of whitehat and blackhat btw and I want the site to look legit in terms of links.

Are blogs linking to my site enough or should I get some more diversity? If so what other sites can I get linking to my money site that are completely whitehat and wont get my in trouble with G00gle? I don't want crappy forum sigs or something that will get the site sandboxed.

I'm going for long term with this site so I want to make sure my linkbuilding methods and SEO will stand the test of longevity..

Whenever you are "links building", it is considered Black hat.

If you are looking to develop a long term business and you plan on relying on Search Engines to get your traffic, do NOT use any links building. Try to get natural links by creating links bait.

If you do any kind of blackhat for a "Long term/Branding" website, you take the guess of losing all your traffic/revenue at any time. If you are willing to take the risk then go for it.

You should use Blackhat techniques aka ANY links building only if you are doing niche website where you do not intend to create a "Brand".

hmm, well it's a review site for a service so not a real 'brand' as such however I do want it to sustain it's rankings as I've done so much work on it and there is so much fresh unique content that we've been working on for months..

If I employed an SEO company what would they do for me? I assumed they just created lots of blogs/link structures..? Which I thought I could do myself..

The link bait method is awesome but I just don't see how you get the original traffic to the site to take the bait! - Seems like it's a bit out of my hands too and I'm working on a deadline with this site..

80% (my guess) of online businesses will disagree with you. Not every company will have ample amount of funds to spend on marketing. Yet, many of the successful brands you see online now were a product of a single website which have made it through by manipulating the search results in early development.

Link building in my view is only to get the ball rolling. Once you have established a decent SERP, the natural links will follow.

So your going to make 200 first tier with content blogs and then at least 600-800 second tier with content all hand made?

hmmmmmmm......

Yep I've got 4 people working all hours of the day 7 days a week on this..

My thinking is that everyone is using software to create this stuff and it's just not as natural and G00gle knows this..

But whoever does the work aside is this a good strategy?

I'd also throw in some good links from a nice private high PR blog network. I just started doing this late last year and they have yielded me the best results so far over any other strategy.

High PR contextual links surrounded by your keyword rich content = SERP love.

I think its pretty good sir.

I have been doing that also and still doing that.

Just let me know if you need more man power.

Then you need to expand your "view", since there is tons of things you can do to get the ball rolling. If you want to risk your long term website with black hat seo then be my guest, but dont complain if you lose everything. Google Penalties/Sandbox are not a myth, they exist and you cant do anything about it.

SEO is a game. Play it good or Play it bad, at the end, Google will always have the final word.

I think it is pretty good. Just keep your links as diverse as possible and of good quality.

I actually work for a large company and although we use blackhat SEO right now, the goal is to generate enough money to outsource a whitehat marketer. Every situation is unique, and I agree with you that some bigger sites shouldn't risk it. But in some situations it's reasonable. We were receiving absolutely no traffic via organic search results, and everything was just through referrals. But now our search traffic is growing and we can actually consider marketing our site in a more "proper" manner for long term stability. So for some people, there is nothing to lose initially since their site rankings are so low. Over time, as sales increase, the sandboxing risk becomes an issue.

I'm learning every day. I agree there are many other ways you can accomplish it, but this is the cheapest for the result it yields. I'm not saying go crazy with your link building. Be selective. Personally I use a lot of variations and make it look as natural as possible. Everything has to coincide with press releases, social activity etc.

In my view (again just my view) google has a system in place to penalise suspect sites. But they also have a system to acquit those sites. This is because the system is flawed. If it were that easy to be penalised then surely everyone will be out to get each other penailised. I don't buy that.

My site is around 1 year old and doesn't reall rank at the moment so I'm going to do this I think..
