Last month, Pinterest had almost 400 Million users per month... but, most of them are women so you should focus on something that women are interested in.

I don't know the answer, but one thing is sure - NEVER DEPEND ON JUST ONE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM TO MAKE MONEY! I have seen hundreds of times how accounts with millions of followers disappear overnight. Or they get hacked or other shit. Social media should be only the tool, not the primary resource.

No its not important that only pinterest. Like there are many platforms. But suggest platform where new accounts are easy to grow.

Pinterest and Instagram both are good IMO. I have a good experience of organically growing Pinterest account. There is no shortcut though. You have to pump in the content and stay active in Pinterest. Once you start getting traffic back to your blog, you can earn money with affiliate products placement in your website.
