Please suggest a WP theme (storefront or credits system)

Hi,

I need to create a website which is basically a catalog of digital products.

However, these products will not be purchased with currency; they will be purchased with credits that I will load into customers accounts.

Therefore, the WP theme I'm looking for should be able to:

1. Create user accounts and allow me to load credits into these accounts

2. Members with accounts can redeem their credits for products in my catalog

3. The products will be priced in credits (i.e. Product A = 25 credits)

4. When members use their credits on products in my catalog, the order will be emailed to me, but they would obviously not get redirected to Paypal or any third party site because we aren't dealing with cash.

Any suggestions would be really helpful!

Free themes / plugins are preferred, but I'm not allergic to spending around $30 for the right theme/plugin.

I think this might be harder then you think You might need to hire someone to either edit a theme or code a brand new site for you, what you are asking I have never seen personally.

Really? Yikes, I was not expecting that answer. I'm basically asking for a shopping theme that allows me to substitute credits instead of currency. If it's going to be difficult, then you must be referring to that part of the process?

You can do this with woocommerce. There are 2 points plugins i think. I researched this myself some time ago.
There is also a website where you can get all woocommerce plugins very cheap and always newest version. Dont remember the name though just google.

If you've tried something like this before and I'm trying it now, I'm sure someone looking for the same info will land on this thread in the future and they will have an answer

I only researched but never did it. Problem is i am from germany and credit point systems are a pain in the ass here regarding tax laws.

I suggest using Magento, which is in my opinion the best ecommerce platform out there. However, the adjustments you prefer may not come for free. Whatever you decide, just be careful with free plugins and double check them to avoid any security issues.

Choose a theme which most of the functionalities you want. You have to customize it for some other functionalities though.

And you would have to buy the theme for it. It would cost you from $40 to $60. Then you would have some money to hire someone to customize it. You might have to buy some plugins too if you couldn't find some functionalities.
