Please Restrict or Ban Bots in the Forum

I would like to suggest that bots should be restricted or banned from this forum. Currently, there are many bots active with specific triggers, and whenever someone posts a query, these bots flood the thread with automated replies often without even understanding the question properly.


Because of this, genuine and deserving members who can actually help and provide meaningful answers or service don’t get the attention they deserve. This not only reduces the quality of discussion but also discourages real contributors from participating.


I hope the moderators will consider this seriously for the betterment of the community. Thank you!

You should consider pressing the "Report" button each time you see such a bot.

Actually OP is pointing to a greater problem here. And this issue is there in the WTB/ HAF section too. Some specific accounts commenting within minutes of the guy wanting to hire or buy something posts.

Take for instance this thread.

HAF/WTB section is full of these. Just had a look at your latest thread. 4 accounts instantly replied within 25 seconds, 12 seconds apart from each other, didn't bother even checking the rest.

I would suggest you to stop using that section of the Forum to get SEO services but rather use The Marketplace and narrow down a few Sales threads that you have interest in, you'll get much better results and your Forum experience will be better i think.

I can absolutely guarantee you that we're not simply allowing bots to freely post. However, it's very much a wack-a-mole situation. Get rid of one, another pops up. Sometimes multiple. This is why reporting these things help greatly.

When you report, it helps us become aware of new issues we may not have been aware of before (it's a big forum, there's lots of you and only a few of us on the community side of things). Even if it's been reported before, the amount of reports that come in on one situation gives us information as well.

So please, please, please use that report button!
